Tori Amos tour

before her new album comes out this spring, her first tour date has been confirmed:

June 2 in Paris.

hopefully, Tori will come near me this time. I am determined to finally see her in concert.

and I'll hopefully get to see Christina Aguilera and Sarah Brightman this year too.

i saw her back in '98 with alanis. truly one of the greatest performances i have ever seen in my life. she was amazing so i hope you get your wish.

I saw Tori on the Dew Drop Inn tour she is very cool in concert and I loved the way she handled a heckler..I just hope the new album is better than the lamentable Beekeeper.

thanks. I hope so too and my only wish is that she does Sugar. I don't care what else she does, but I must hear Sugar.live.once.

I didn't really like The Beekeeper much either, except The Power of Orange Knickers and Sleeps with Butterflies.

The first time I saw Tori, Rufus Wainwright opened for her (Poses had just come out) and she did Sugar. That's actually how it got to be my favorite song of hers. She knocked me on my ass with that one (although I was already weak in the knees from RW's live version of Greek Song).

Jason and mikeschmike, which Sugar version do you prefer?
The full band or just the piano - as in the one Jason posted the other day?

I am torn between those two, but I have to say that her vocals on the one Jason posted here are killing me.

I'm all about the version from To Venus and Back really. or the one from welcome to sunny Florida. gimme that bass and just Tori and a few dog-pitched wails and I'm home.

Is it perhaps one of those that you can find on you tube?

I watched a couple of live performances of Sugar on you tube the other day and they were sublime.
Both full band.

It was just Tori and the piano for the version I saw. Very quiet, haunting, and beautiful.
