Default I now think Fleetwood Mac should do Super Bowl

I use to think Fleetwood Mac as much as I love them shouldn't ever do the Super Bowl. They just don't have enough of those super high energy songs that are both really popular, rocking and not too long. Their concert show stoppers are not really good Super Bowl songs for the most part. And they also aren't the most visually stimulating.

BUT.....................after tonight's Super Bowl featuring Coldplay I think fleetwood Mac have an abundance of possible sets that would've blown that show out of the water.

World turning
Rhiannon
Landslide(if they went sentimental)
Second hand news
Don't stop
Go your own way
The chain
You make loving fun
Gold dust
Silver springs (especially if they do more a medley and it's just the chorus)
Tusk
Big love
Little lies
Stand back
Edge of 17
Holiday road

Fleetwood Mac could have done the Super Bowl in the 90s, but not today.

Today's Super Bowl shows are awful, and so are the performers. Even if Fleetwood Mac did do the Super Bowl, they would have to be the only performers because none of today's musical acts are worthy of sharing a stage with them.

I've been saying that for years.

They probably play Landslide .The could do a hits medley.FB fans dont care and dont want to hear the non hits we like.

Heres last nights performance anyway. The music is not my cup of tea but I record it for some friends on a another forum.

Beyonce looks great.

Years ago I think Stevie or FM played at the SB pre show.I might be wrong.

Medleys. Those are artistic suïcide. No they should do a Buckingham-led experimentalist album. Commercial suïcide, I know, but all their 'commercial' choices have been that too. So no Superbowl please. Just make an album that nobody wants to hear but me.

No way no how and no to Fleetwood Mac doing the superbowl.

Does everyone know the acts lip sync? It is not live and a fake show. Several years ago the Who performed and it was so sad that rock legends performed to pre-recorded tracks. Even worse, they pumped into the stadium crowd singing like the crowd was really singing. The superbowl show is ridiculous with scripted dancing and lip syncing to pre-recorded tracks. I would never want to see the Mac part of such a fake script.

To perform LIVE like they did in the pre-show is fine.

it is impossible to mic monitor and mix set up live equipment in 12 minutes ... back eyed peas tried live and failed

Stevie did the 2007 SB pregame show. So I'm sure they're not opposed to it. It would inevitably be a medley:

Tusk (or The Chain)
You Make Loving Fun (or Don't Stop)
Rhiannon
Go Your Own Way

Do they really need to be doing this? I'm not sure they'd get anything out of it. Sure, they'd probably go down okay. They'd play their standard 'event songs' i.e. Go Your Own Way, Dont Stop, Rhiannon (or possibly Dreams, being the Rumours anniversary) and The Chain. But I'm not sure they'd really blow people away. At the same time, it could be lacklustre and they could come off quite badly.
Not sure its really worth it. Leave it to the youngsters.

The only way this is going to work is if they do Stand Back and Brad Jeffries comes back and dances wildly with Stevie for 8 minutes
AND
The UFO from Christine's "Love will show us how" video re-appears and lands on the stage.
Then just maybe this will work
