Default the beard

Lindsey should grow the beard out for old times sake.

I found a picture of my dad recently from when he was 25 (1972) and a year older than I am now, with a beard and it looked awesome. It was the first time I'd seen him with a full beard until today. He had hip replacement surgery at the end of July, and while in rehab he didn't shave for a couple of weeks and he showed me a picture because I wasn't able to visit him and the beard looked great, salt & pepper or whatever they call it. I immediately told him to grow it back out and I'll probably do the same. that is all.

that could prove to be interesting...but I much prefer how smooth he is now. For old times sake, I post this...gosh hasn't he changed...his voice sure was HIGH then...excitable...and oh sooo sexy.

Have we decided which month in 1978 Lindsey shaved it all off? He hadn't yet shaved in late February, when he attended the Grammys, but he was shaven by July, when the band set out on tour.

That leaves:

A. March
B. April
C. May
D. June

We need Sanne to figure this out thru pictures if she can, or has the time?? In this pic I posted Lindsey's sandals look like a gift from Stevie, or a pair of her 1975 leftovers. I'd guess this pic to be 1978.

Thumbs up beard

I remember seeing him in July 1978 in Philadelphia. It was an outside concert and I was on the 50 yard line. I expected to see this big Afro and when I didn't I thought he wasn't there. But then he began to speak.
I thought the 'fro was cool so I was mildly dissappointed. Then again I was an impressionable teenager!!

That's from the 1978 tour. That doesn't help us. We need photos from the pre-tour transitional period -- the four months in 1978 I already references: March, April, May, & June.

If you go to the Blue Letter Archives, you can find a Rolling Stone review of that show.

thanks, I tried to find it but couldn't locate. I'm not very computer savy.
If I recall Bob Welsh and Steve Miller where there. It was my first concert and I drove there in my first car a green VW station wagon. I bought a bumper sticker which was on the car for several years afterwards.
And the great thing is FM and Lindsey are still relevent today!!

I could've sworn I saw a picture a couple of years ago in which Lindsey was sitting in the passenger seat of a van or car and had short-ish hair and a mustache and thinking that it might be from around '78 or so before he shaved completely. In retrospect I guess it could've been an early picture. Anyone know which photo I'm thinking of?

Little did I know at the time that the Album "Tusk" would still take well over a year to come out.
That was the beginning of the long waits for LB's stuff.
