If Lindsey were to play each album live in its entirety...
... which would you be most excited to see?
Let's say Lindsey announced tomorrow that he was going to do a series of concerts where he would play each of his solo albums from start to finish. It would be Lindsey as we know him right now, but it's possible that he would rearrange songs from the earlier albums to suit a living setting, such as adjusting the instrumental or vocal arrangements. But for fun, let's say there's no specific band included, it could be a huge backing band like OOTC or a smaller group like Under the Skin and GOS. Which album would you most want to go see? I think I'd most want to hear all of Gift of Screws live, but Out of the Cradle would be a close second. |

I bet 95% of you guys will say OOTC but I would like to hear Go Insane or Law and Order.

Out of the Cradle and Go Insane. I want him to sort of play them through the way they sounded on the album instead of reinterpret the style...mainly because I want to hear Slow Dancing exactly the way it was recorded. Love it.

Man, to Mr. Buckingham's credit, we have heard most of UTS live, between Soundstage and the UTS tour. That's quite a feat.
Of course, we didn't get Flying Down Juniper, but if something had to be left out . . . Michele |

Go Insane would be a LOT of fun... but unless he came up with a way to totally reinvent it, I don't see how it could really be translated to a live performance.

and you're right I'd much rather have heard To Try For The Sun instead of this. Looking at the big picture though, I'd like to see GOS live over OOTC simply because 77% (I may need to double check that one) of the songs have been played live while GOS has had only 60% of the tracks played. I'm well aware of the sever lack of live performances of LaO and GI songs but I'd rather hear OOTC, UTS, or GOS live over the other two. And for what it's worth you can piece together an "Under the Skin Live" with songs from Live at the Bass and Soundstage along with the video I linked in this post. It's a pretty awesome cd (I put Red Rover in place of Try for the Sun). |

I know. More wishful thinking on my part, but I honestly don't want to hear passionate acoustic versions of any GI songs for this particular concert...I want the straight poppy/80s sound as best as can be presented on a live stage. I just dig that album and the entire vibe it gives me once I've listened all the way through...if it could be done it would be an awesome conceptual show.

That album would be my first choice too, the Unleashed arrangement of Go Insane worked so very well. I'd love to see a compilation of Under The Skin live if anyone's found the time to put it together |

A mixed live set of Out of the Cradle and Gift of Screws would probably be the most incredible live concert...ever. Of course, Id have to request him to bring back the "army of guitar players" in order to hear each and every sound we hear on the album onstage!

Law And Order. It's my favourite Lindsey album and he's only ever really played two songs live from it.

Go Insane. It's my favourite Lindsey album and he's only ever really played one song live from it.
And I just want Play In The Rain Live. CLOSE SECOND: Law And Order. It's nearly my favourite Lindsey album and he's only ever really played two songs live from it. And I just want Johnny Stew Live. And Mary Lee Jones.

My vote's for Law and Order. I haven't bought Under the Skin or Gift of Screws yet... Love OOTC and Go Insane of course, but Law and Order is just so dang fun. |

I'd say Go Insane myself, as it's my favourite album of his (I own neither UTS or GOS yet, however), and I'd love to see what he'd do with it live, especially since it's such a synthesized album!

My first thoughts were OOTC or GOS, but I really would like to hear his take on the Go Insane album, Law and Order would be cool as well
Under The Skin we can sort of piece together from various sources
