Default Stevie in 2020

There has been talk of Stevie touring solo in 2020, but nothing official yet. She herself has mentioned offhand that she wants to make another album. I wonder what the odds are of her recording AND touring in 2020? Or one of these. Or neither...

Where does she say she wants to make another album?

In 2018 she said the new lineup of FM would record, but that seems (at least to me) just to have been for the PR purpose of making them seem like more of a permanent and ongoing unit than they really were.

On "Ellen" she offered a counterargument to Sheryl Crow's decision not to make another album, but that's not the same as saying she wants to make one herself.

I never understood why she didn't embrace the release of single songs on streaming from the start. It fits with her decreased output, and her dislike of being in the studio for months and months....

Dave Stewart exposed her to a more current-day pace and approach to self-marketing, what with the album, the photo show, etc. Yet she continues taking a very slow, old-school approach.

I was hoping Dave's influence would rub off and we might get some packaging of the Rhiannon material. Everyone and their brother has a musical now and a Rhiannon musical would be a logical step. Gotta stop partying and work for that to happen.

Never heard of a corporate gig that was open to the public.

I went to one just by calling up and asking whether they'd make a special accommodation. Sold me two tickets for $20 each.

They haven't officially announced the line-up yet, but she's rumored to be playing NYC's Governors Ball festival in June. Bottlerock in Napa is already announced.

Looks like instead of touring the sheds that she is playing one offs like corporate gigs and festivals with less dates but potentially bigger single paydays. So it seems that she is slowing down .

I suppose there's also a chance we'll see normal dates scheduled between the festivals.
