SALT LAKE CITY — The wicked witch is dead.

Colorado hadn't won a road game in more than four years — a string of 24 consecutive losses outside the state, including a bowl game — when the Buffaloes trotted Friday afternoon into Rice-Eccles Stadium as a three-touchdown underdog to Utah.

After shocking the Utes 17-14, Colorado players didn't want to leave. There were so many hugs to give, especially to the 28 departing seniors.

Well, well, well....look who got hired at Washington State?

Mike Leach, 50, was fired by Texas Tech in December of 2009 following a dispute over his handling of receiver Adam James. The son of ESPN announcer Craig James, Adam James claimed Leach forced him to sit in a construction closet during practice after suffering a concussion in a game.

Washington State reached an agreement to hire the former Texas Tech coach one day after firing Paul Wulff.

The school announced Wednesday that Leach had agreed in principle to a five-year contract and will be introduced at a press conference next Tuesday.

Financial terms of the contract were not available, but according to a story by CBSSports.com, the deal is for five years and would make Leach the third-highest paid coach in the Pac-12.

In other news...Turner Gill was fired from Kansas and Rick Neuheisel got the axe from UCLA... I felt badly for Turner Gill, he hasn't been there very long...maybe 2 years?

Oh and before I forget...

This has nothing to do with BAMA or the National Championship or College Football....

But I really like Tim Teebow and his positive attitude...and I get razzed about it at work and by my family....but damn....after Sunday's OT win....Teebow said something that I liked...

"If you believe, unbelievable things can sometimes be possible."

There are lots of things that discourage me in this world, but this guy encourages me.

I like Tebow too. Those Bronco games have been
unbelievably exciting at the end. They have a big
test this coming weekend though... Mr. Tom Brady.

How great would it be if the Broncos won the Super
Bowl?!?

If I weren't a lifelong Dolphins fan, I'd rush out and
buy myself a Tebow jersey.

Christmas Wishlist:

1. Bama National Champions
2. Broncos win Super Bowl
3. Dale Earnhardt Jr. wins Daytona and the Sprint Cup.
4. I finally become the rock star I've always wanted to be.

I love your list....

I just saw the movie NEW YEARS EVE last night and your list reminded me of a segment in that movie.

Hey....anything can happen...no matter what's on the list. She had some challening things on her list

1. Visit Bali
2. Save a life
3. Be amazed
4. Walk in the 5 Burroughs (sp) in New Yok
5. Travel around the wold

(And I can't remember the rest.)

And in keeping with the thread's theme...

Roll Tide.

We miss you Bear....

A series of unfortunate events will prevent me from
being here to celebrate the BAMA victory. So Betsy
and all who care about football say a Roll Tide for me.

Well, Mr. Iamnotafraid...

Tomorrow night is your big night. I am sure that wherever you are, there is a big screen TV in the room.

Meanwhile, in my living room, I was pleasantly surprised to see the Broncos beat the Steelers in OVERTIME on one play.
