Positive reviews in the press will also help sell the album. I hope the record will get a lot of good press. I would love to see her on the cover of Rolling Stone again and other prominent rags. She's earned the rite to be lauded by the masses.

I thought Prince was the first one to do this many years ago, and that it was no longer allowed to influence the charts. The rationale is that people BOUGHT the concert ticket but were GIVEN the album, so it's not a fair representation to make it seem like the album is selling more than it is.

I remember he did do this, I think with Musicology, and that there was some type of uproar over it. Idk what the details or end result were, though.

'Lady' is appearing higher on the charts than 'The Dealer' and so far this is what I've got:

#2 on the US iTunes Rock Songs chart

#11 on the UK iTunes Rock Songs chart

#63 on the US iTunes Top 100 Songs

This is so great! I'm from the UK so I can update the UK charts but not the US so people from the US keep updating!

I wonder if Lady has hit up the charts due to all the pre-orders? Meaning, the song is now distributed suddenly to all pre-order purchases. I should expect the same for the other tracks that drop.

Yes, that's what I was thinking. It would make sense, since everyone who pre-ordered is now suddenly getting the single....We'll see where it goes in the next couple of days.

Lady is down to #85 on the itunes top 100 but remains at #2 on the iTunes Rock Charts

I can't believe it made the top 100 though, top 75 even. That's incredible for her. I'm sure 'Secret Love' didn't reach as high as that initially. I know it'll probably have disappeared from the top 100 by tomorrow just like 'The Dealer' disappeared from the Rock Songs chart but it's still an achievement. All we need now is airplay to sustain its success!

'Starshine' is #1 on the US iTunes Rock Songs chart and #36 on the main US top 100! Great news! It's also at #6 on the UK iTunes Rock Songs chart which is also great.

Itunes files means nothing to me .Its not the physical product. but its great for Stevie is on top.


Thats great Stevie is climbing overs these young artists on Itunes.

I would like to know how she will do when the physical album is release.

I have a feeling that 24K will do better then IYD with all of this positive info we are getting.
