hahahahaha.Yes My friends say I never came out of the 60's ,70's and 1980's.

A handful of new artists like Adele I like.

Its not like the old days like i used to like every tune after another and go out and buy the 45 rpm single.

I love those 1980's maxi singles.

I find it hard to get into things like hardcore and most metal, but otherwise I'm pretty open genre-wise (I don't like everything in a certain genre though). Electronica doesn't interest me very often but now and then there's something.

Richard & Linda Thompson/Fairport Convention/Sandy Denny
Byrds

Lots of others, too.

Hard rock, melodic and thrash metal, pop, soundtracks, dubstep, electro, house... anything with a good melody or groove basically. And ambience is always nice

It depends on what era of metal you're talking about. I love bands like Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, and Motörhead. I don't really dig '80s hair metal or death metal.

Some of my favorite artists off the top of my head, but certainly not the only people I listen too:

Backstreet Boys
Britney Spears (late 90's/early 00's)
Gavin DeGraw
Hanson
The Beatles
Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers
The Eagles
John Denver
Dolly Parton
Kenny Loggins
Michael Jackson
Lana Del Rey

I hate to categorize into genres, but I guess to generalize, I mostly like soft-rock, folk, acoustic, and pop-rock sort of stuff. Not into anything too heavy really, no grunge or metal or anything of the like. I do like 80s dance music but not into current dance music or hip hop. And I have a soft spot for my nostalgic childhood popstars (late 90s stuff).

Exclamation I like most genres...

of music, Minus rap/hip-hop and country (Not enough gold in Fort Knox to make me listen to either genre)...and sad to admit the only time I hear Fleetwood Mac NOW is if I hear their music played on the music system here at the library (Which ironically only seems to play songs that CM sings lead on)

FYI, The current music on my cd player are the Planet P Project's "1931 Go Out Dancing Part 1" (The lyrical content I can see happening in this day & age), "Levittown - Go Out Dancing Part 2" and of the course the epic "Pink World" (Sorry Mr. Roger Waters, but you cannot even come close to Mr.Carey's PPP "Pink World"...No chance in hell)
