Told you so.

Great pic of Lindsey and Brett.

Laurie Metcalff was on a show with Bonnie Bramlett.

Good performance. I possibly like the live version better than the studio one - the chorus sounded much more natural with 4 different voices versus 4 different Lindseys.

Also, Christine's little hand motions for "spinning" are cute.

In My World....
They sounded wonderful... Looked a little nervous though...
Looks like we've got LB's solo band for the tour...

Pretty sure that was Federico Pol on bass.

My thoughts:

1. Blew the album version of In My World out of the water. That's not saying TOO MUCH as I didn't like the album version much to begin with, but I might actually download the live audio to listen to on my own time.

2. Lindsey's natural voice here is fantastic. Wish he would've used it on the album version!

3. Wish they'd picked a song that showcased the two of them a bit better. I could barely hear Christine's voice (maybe I'll have to listen to it with headphones to hear it in the mix). Then again I suppose none of the songs really showcase BOTH of their voices together. There's not a Don't Stop, World Turning, Hold Me, or even Isn't It Midnight type duet on B/M.

4. The chorus was done really well. Maybe because it was being played with a full band, it just felt a lot more powerful than the album version.

5. Love the energy of these two. The happy vibes coming off of Christine practically made me smile. Much different than her "kill me now" look on The Dance!

6. Seconding the motion that her finger twirls are cute.

7. Makes me wish that a live album or some proshot footage of the concert tour will be released. If they kicked In My World's ass so hard I actually almost LIKED it, I can't imagine how good Too Far Gone, On With the Show, Red Sun, or Carnival Begin will sound. I don't know how likely it is, but Lindsey seems to put out live content fairly often.

Overall: Unexpectedly loved it and hope to see/hear more like it from these two.

Lindsey sounded live the whole time. Not totally sure about all of the backing vocals in the chorus. We'll need to hear a few from the tour to compare.

It was a good performance, but a little rough in the verses. It definitely makes me want a DVD of this tour!

YES to all of this! Spot on analysis. Great performance- it rocks harder than the album version and better with natural vocals, which I pretty much feel about all his studio songs vs. live songs. So great seeing Christine looking so happy! And she looks great.

I did a quick run through of the album this morning and am warming up to it for sure. Excited for the show!

It was killer performance, such a great/unique pop song. Keep pushing things forward Lindsey.
