Has Stevie ever done paid meet and greets?
Like Mick has done this time around?
Why do you think Stevie and Lindsey didnt do them - are they not bothered about the extra money they could have earnt? thanks. |

Personally I can't think of anything more taxing or unpleasant than having to behave completely flawlessly to a group of total strangers who, let's face it, may not be operating at 100% themselves in that situation. I don't blame anyone for not signing up for that.
If Stevie and Lindsey are anything like me, and I suspect they might be, they'd be worried about appearing moody or saying the wrong thing and alienating a fan. |

Have you seen Lindsey's facial expressions on some of the SYW meet and greets? There's your answer. Though he seems to be opening up to fans more over the years, and he did an unannounced M&G during one of his solo tours.
With Stevie, there are gonna be a lot of complications involved, I'm sure. And she wouldn't want to put herself through them.

Besides, Mick seems to be more personable than the others anyhow. By that I mean I think he seems to kinda thrive a bit on mucking in. He certainly wouldn't do it if he hated the interaction. The extra cash probably helps.

he also did unannounced / free one in NYC in 2011. there are many threads about these in LB forum, from last year.

I know. It's hilarious. It's a wonder he didn't do rabbit ears too.

Being the woman who goes to the edge of the stage and shakes hands at most of here solo shows I can't imagine her doing that.

Those pictures made my night!! LOL
I can just imagine Stevie saying: I love my fans, but I don't ever want to see them. Lindsey is so awkward around people, overwhelming situations. His pictures were PRICELESS. I totally believe Stevie when she says she had to support them and do the cleaning and cooking. |

These paid Meet and Greets are only about one thing: MONEY. Of all members of THE MAC, Mick has the least amount of money. He has struggled with finances during his entire adult life. If it were up to him, Fleetwood Mac would tour every year and run the machine dry, He's trying to stockpile money away for his retirement. Let's face it, these guys are pushing 70. How many more years do they have? I just read an interview with Stevie the other day......She claims that one night, upon stepping up to the stage, she looked at Lindsey and said something to the effect of "I'm getting too old for this......".
That being said, a part of my soul will die the day that I can no longer attend a MAC, STEVIE or LINDSEY show. Yes, I complain about the stagnant set list.....but I will NEVER deny myself a chance to see the band that has provided the soundtrack to my life. I have followed this band for the better part of 35 years. I relish the chance to see them at any cost during these final years. SO, PAID MEET AND GREETS? Stevie would never. Lindsey ?? "Aint' nobody got time for that!!!" OTHER ACTS THAT PARTICIPATE IN PAID FAN MEET AND GREETS INCLUDE: Cyndi Lauper, The Go Go's, most washed up 80's acts. I've never seen a giant like Fleetwood Mac do them......but maybe I haven't been paying attention. |

Stevie did one at least at the Arizona Heart Institute Benefit she did in 2001. I think I paid $1,000 but it was a donation to the AHI so tax deductible and I got a 3rd row ticket to the concert and the opportunity to meet her so it was worth it in my opinion.

If Mick was money smart back then he wouldn't need to do these meet and greets, to be honest.
