Like I never knew Tango In The Night has sold 8 Million worldwide
Yep, isn't Tango their second highest selling record world wide? Besides Greatest Hits that is...I remember hearing how big Tango was in other countries, and it was a hit in the U.S, but not as big as it should have been. That possibly, maybe, I don't know, might have something to do with why Stevie went overseas with OSOTM. Does anyone know how big OSOTM was in its day in Europe or other countries?

I don't know how OSOTM did for album sales overseas (I know traditionally the Mac does way better than solo Stevie overseas) but I did read that Rooms On Fire was Stevie's biggest solo hit in the UK....reaching #10 or something...I beleive that is why she took that tour to Europe.

And when we see total album sales listed places why don't they give total worldwide sales. I think they just give U.S. sales. because I still see things that list Tango as selling 2 million. And sometimes I still see Rumours at 16 or 18 mil. They can't be getting that outdated of information. Weird!

Actually, well, first of all Tango went 3x platinum in October of 2000, and it is listed as three times. The reason Rumours is listed as 18 million is because they have sold 18 million in the US, but like, over 25 million world wide, and I think that's the number you are thinking about. I'm sure there is somewhere that shows how much each album sold throughout the world and not just in the US, but I don't know where. I get my US sales from the riaa site... www.riaa.com

OSOTM hit #3 on the UK charts, making it the best selling Stevie solo album. I found all this info from the discography here at the penguin. they have all the chart info for all the albums and solo albums. It's funny that Bella Donna and the Wild Heart didn't hit the top 20 over there but Street Angel made it #14. OSOTM and Street Angel were her biggest hart toppers in the UK. TISL made it #43. The white album didn't do so well in the UK either.
