I found those liner note mistakes so egregious! Who took responsibility for not getting the most simplest facts right? Or do they even care? I will always hold true that die-hard fans have more accurate, acute and detailed knowledge of the band than any of the band members, managers etc... If you are looking for insight about any particular subject matter related to the band, don't expect a concise and accurate answer from any member of the band; your best bet is to ask a diehard fan.

The graphic execution for box set was just average, and very little written commentary. I hate the covers of each of the 4 CDs. Absent of any graphic design, they feature only lazy/banal quotes from each member of the band.

I don't want an undated version of The Chain, nor a box set where Rumours is the main reference point -- i.e "Pre-Rumours songs."

I'd love to have a lavishly creative box set that highlights the murky transition period between Kiln House and Heroes Are Hard To Find. There's a lot of good. overlooked music there. Aside from a well-written pieces documenting the various incarnations of the band, along with rare photos, the box set would feature selected album tracks, rare outtakes and live cuts.

Do we NEED that album AGAIN? I'd pare down a couple of songs from that one); except, in place of the 8 live tracks, I'd have:

"Purple Dancer" (original 45 mix; which hasn't been released on CD)
"World In Harmony" (the original 45 mix, which hasn't seen itself on CD either)
"Trinity" (the Danny Kirwan Bare Trees outtake)
"Bermuda Triangle" (a live version from '74)
"Cool Water" (the "Gypsy" single B-side)
the Tango... singles' B-sides ("Book of Miracles", "You & I, Part 1", "Down Endless Street")

"Oh Diane"?? No, I wouldn't inflict that on Fleetwood Mac fans again, either; would insert the Mirage outtake "Goodbye Angel" instead.

Would put a 1975-76 era live "Rhiannon" in place of the studio track

Would include "Paper Doll" & "Love Shines".

Well, I guess this one really ISN'T as close to what I'd compile as I originally thought.
Thanks for your reply, chiliD. I think mine represented all members and eras of the band. I wanted to add more Danny/Jeremy/Welch songs, but Peter's were so good and more successful. I tried to be somewhat realistic with the box set including all the hits. So yeah alot from Rumours and Oh Diane(it was a top ten hit in the UK).

Live Rhiannon from '75-76 sounds great! Adding Paper Doll and Love Shines, the last one a favorite of mine, would require eliminating a Stevie and Christine song from Behind the Mask/Time.

I have another box set I done too, Disc #1 for Peter/Danny/Welch and the Post-Rumours crew, and a disc each for Christine/Lindsey/Stevie.
