I am wondering which songs, if any, are gonna be cut from the setlist next Saturday...FM scheduled from 5:10-7pm...they have been playing almost 2.5 hours at most of the concerts, so with the hour and 50 minute schedule, (unless they go past 7)...am wondering what will be cut?

[Go see them, because they might kick the bucket soon and Frank Ocean will not]

May 4 by Headliners

The Tulane Hullaballoo, April 25, 2013
http://www.thehullabaloo.com/arcade/...9bb30f31a.html

Scheduling Fleetwood Mac, Phoenix and Frank Ocean all on May 4 may possibly be the cruelest move New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival could make. As much as it breaks the Arcade’s heart to write this, we recommend forgoing the R&B god Frank Ocean and indie rock bliss of Phoenix in favor of Fleetwood Mac. There’s no denying Ocean’s talent, but the soulful musician will be around for a while. Take advantage of the chance to see Fleetwood Mac, a band with farreaching history, play the classic hit “Landslide.” The multiple Grammy award-winning, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee’s 2013 tour marks the 35th anniversary of the release of its legendary album, “Rumours.” The current Fleetwood Mac lineup boasts original members Mick Fleetwood and John McVie, and Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks, both of whom joined the band in 1975. Witness a piece of musical history from 5:10 - 7 p.m. at the Acura Stage. by Jamie Norwood

I think they have to cut out one hour of songs. I think they add New Orleans though. That is a must do. I cannot wait.

In the 2nd half of the Q&A Jaime has posted, Stevie said she suggested it to FM and they declined. So it won't be performed there. She did remind the person asking the question that she has already performed it in New Orleans once, on a solo tour.

Silver Springs already cut in NJ? Hmm...no rhyme or reason to why it was cut as it appeared on their next stop. Perhaps Stevie is exhausted already! I hope not! I had a track listing of opening night down to the minute and seem to of lost track of it. My goal was to predict the List for JF and see what the band will delete/replace into an hour and 50 minutes. This is my prediction:

Second Hand News (- approx. 3:00)
The Chain (+ 5:00)
Dreams (+ 5:00)
Sad Angel (+5:00)
Rhiannon (+7:00)
Not That Funny (+5:00)
Tusk (+6:00)
Sisters of the Moon (+5:00)

Sara (-6.00)
Big Love (+5:00)
Landslide (+5:00)
Never Going Back Again (+2:30)
Without You (+4:00)
Gypsy (+4:00)
Eyes of the World (+4:00)
Gold Dust Woman (+6:00)
(shortened version)
I'm So Afraid (+5:00) (shortened version)
Stand Back (+5:00) (shortened version)
Go Your Own Way (+5:00) (shortened version)

World Turning (+5:00) (shortened version)
Don't Stop (+5:00)

Say Goodbye (+3:00)

We have roughly 110 minutes to work with and my calculations are estimated, of course. Based on the calculations, (I know I am off by minutes and seconds) if they shorten the songs towards the end of the show, it leaves them roughly a little more than 8 minutes to talk and band intros, etc.

I think Stevie could ramble on for 8 solid minutes, so this is just mere speculation. I prefer them to shorten songs rather than cut, but I am only 1 fan of many. Who knows, maybe the band will totally surprise us and cut NTF, EOTW, and Stand Back. I'd much prefer them to cut Landslide, Without You, and Don't Stop. Cheers to wishful dreaming.

She actually said " you know what, I'll tell you right now, were not, because I didn't even suggest it ".

@ Fiery Sequences...I think your projection may be spot on!...would rather shortened versions than a total cut of a song...NO NEW ORLEANS...I have been talking to alot of folks who are going and everyone is thinkin' they are gonna bust out New Orleans for the crowd, I better let them know to not hold their breath .....also... I was there for Billy Joel Saturday and it was pretty packed....the buzz around the Fest was how it will probabaly be even more crowded on Saturday for FM...

Picture of what it looked like Saturday at the Acura Stage for Billy Joel...pretty crowded...thinking Fleetwood Mac may be even more crowded since the weather is supposed to be pretty nice Saturday....partly cloudy and 72 degrees!

There is no way they are going to shorten/adapt so many songs just for one gig. That requires rehearsal, and they don't really have time to rehearse. They are going to cut, cut, cut songs to fit the allotted timeslot.

I was talking with a few people at JazzFest this weekend and they reminded me that Bruce Springsteen played about 25 minutes past his time allotment until they told him he had to quit....From what I heard Tom Petty and The Eagles played longer than what the schedule said... hoping this is the case on Sat...

With all of the rain hitting New Orleans this week, the Fairgrounds and Jazzfest should be good and muddy by Saturday...going to invest in some rubber boots fer sure...they are saying partly cloudy and 72 degrees and windy..which for New Awlinz, at this time of year, is VERY unusual!! We may see that Gold Dust Shawl whippin in the wind

Well I can certainly dig those temps, and I agree. It IS very unusual, but much better than muddy, hot and humid.
