I am very happy Obama won.I don't normally post here.But when gldstwmn mentioned this song. I had not heard it in long time.So I looked it up on You Tube. Its kind of a cool song.I am posting two links for it.Because the first one is just from the old vinyl album.

Talk about ironic, The total number of votes McCain received in Oklahoma was just 16 short of the same number Bush had in 2004...

All the local news broadcasts are now focused on how the Repubs have taken this state back from the Demos, and how guns sales have SOARED since Obama's win.

I am soooooo excited about this eection, but I stayed up waaaaaay too late and am reeeaaallly tired. And, dispite what the irony in the last chorus of the song may suggest, it was a great day (Great day)!

Racial tensions here are going up very quickly (A high school fight happened today over race and Obama), but what did anyone expect from a state created out of racial prejudice - I even saw some IDIOT on TV state "Prepare for reverse-slavery"...and Native Americans are SPLIT on Obama - large tribes (Such as the Cherokee Nation, which I am a member of) are for Obama whereas smaller sized tribes are TOTALLY against Obama.

The local news just announced Obama will be making a visit here soon, and OF COURSE the gun issue remains at the forefront (Average gun sales per dealer pre-election were about 10 guns per day, NOW it is triple-digit per day).

Gee, this state is going to be FUN the next 2-4 years...

I'm serious, but dont call me "Jesus" (Couldnt resist the ol' familiar line from the movie "Airplane", "I am serious...But don't call me 'Surely' ")

The Demos celebrated, but although not as openly as the Repubs. OK GOP party said the next couple of years they will try to pass more laws that are pro-family...oh brother.

Yeah, it's happening in Texas too. People going out buying guns because they think Obama will take away their rights to bear arms. I agree with Obama that assault weapon sales need to STOP. My dad owns guns...I don't really have a problem with people owning them, but those ginormous assault weapons are unnecessary.

As for the reverse slavery quote. LMAO! People's ignorance never fails to amuse me.

Yeah, me too. Once, there was a bill to limit hand gun purchases to once or three times a month, and everyone was completely out raged? I just don't understand why.
