Madonna concert in Boston...
I went last night and was somewhat underwhelmed.
The ticket said 8 p.m.; she came on at 9:20 p.m. There was no opening act, but a DJ (a terrible one) was playing beforehand. During her show there were too many mash-ups and unfamiliar arrangements that took the fun out of her hit songs. Some sounded rushed or resisted the original melodies. She also scolded the audience at one point for not singing along, even though it was during a section of the show where she performed three songs from her new album (none of the singles). High points: rock version of Borderline, She's Not Me, Like Prayer and a surprisingly well-sung You Must Love Me. I saw Alison Moyet last week at a gorgeous theater. Amazing voice. Tonight, Lindsey. |

Let me just say Alison Moyet has one of the better voices I have ever heard as evidenced here:
I loved this song then and I love it now. Her voice is amazing on it. Also, sorry to hear about Madonna. She usually puts on a good show. Have fun at LB's show. It certainly has a been a great few months for you musically |

I'll be going to see her when she comes to Houston. I've never even been to a concert before.
Did you see her on her Confessions tour, GoldDustOrphan? I have the DVD of that show, and I think its great. |

I have seen her on the Blonde Ambition tour, The Girlie Show, The Drowned World tour, and The Re-Invention Tour.
My boyfriend loved every second of the show, (but he's Brazilian and loves every second of everything he sees.) |

I went to the show at the Garden on Thursday also. I thought the show covered Hard Candy very well and she certainly threw in enough goodie for the fans. Vogue was the best version I have heard (it was mashed with 4 Minutes).
I wished she had played more from Candy. |

I saw the show last night!! The stadium has windows up high, and when the lights went out at the beginning, it looked neat seeing the downtown Houston buildings lit up outside. During "Like a Prayer", all 40,000+ people were going crazy. I also liked the remixed "Give It To Me" with the laser beam lights during the chorus.
