They're probably solo fans who want their artist back without FM. But they aren't going to get that. FM has their soul. Those five people are ours.

Chained.

Agree: the EP was lackluster.
I have gone from liking ITM to loving it. It has seriously grown on me this past year. Those songs are very well written. Sweet Revenge and Forgiveness have been on my playlist lately. It's great stuff.

Stevie would be a terrible, terrible artist and professional if she let sales prevent her from recording another album. In the post-music label era, especially, no self-respecting artist can use that as an excuse.

Yep. Because I think it will be crap.

It's way better than the uninspired fodder in the EP, so I'd rather have SYW be the swan song than an album full of the same stuff as in the EP.

He's brilliant.
I know you love him, and he's an interesting choice. But I don't see him as a fit for FM. Now, if you were talking about working with Lindsey as a solo artist, that's a different story.

Thank god you're in the minority.

I for one think it's going to be amazing. Just a feeling. I don't think the EP (which I do not like) is the direction the music is going to go. With all five of them back in the same room, working together, the energy is going to be high...very high.

And anyone who thinks Jack White isn't musically flexible or able to work with established artists hasn't heard the album he produced for Wanda Jackson, the Queen of Rockabilly. The Party Ain't Over was more true to herself than anything Wanda had recorded in 40+ years, yet was still very edgy & fresh sounding at the same time. Jack seems to find that magical balance with everyone he works with.

Totally agree. I have never understood why some are unhappy with it. Her voice is in top form, the songs are all catchy (some stronger than others, but all catchy)....

Giving it Back, Forgiveness, Friend--they are all classic Mac sounding songs, much more so than anything on SYW. And, as many have already recognized, her vocals on the two Dan Perfect tunes are Career highs.

I think the bottom line is the sum is greater then the parts IMO. I have always enjoyed and bought all the solo music and loved having 11-13 new tracks from Lindsey, Christine and Stevie but NOTHING is better than a Fleetwood Mac album with the "five", Get it done!

SYW wasn't great, ITM wasn't great...Gee, maybe if all five had been working together, one big album would have been great, because both albums had more good songs than bad.
