Default When country stars blast Bush, he's in trouble

It's not just the Dixie Chicks anymore.

Hill, who grew up in Jackson, Miss., echoed those sentiments. So overwhelmed, she uncharacteristically unleashed an epithet, calling the situation, "Bull- - - -

I live in JXN and she grew up about 15 mins from me...I'm good friends with her best friend. Anywho...it surprises me that she says these things cause she's not one to get into these things. She must be really upset, not that I blame her...I'm just saying...as the reporter says 'uncharacteristically'

Have you met her?

Yeah, I think it really highlights how frustrated people are with the inept response to Katrina if mild-mannered folk are speaking out.

Well, it seems like she's not one of those types that just shoots her mouth off.

You know, the Dixie Chicks got such an unfair rap for that and it really pissed me off. They were at the top of their game at the time and it really hurt them and I don't think it will ever be the same for them again and that is unfortunate. Yes, I was one of the few on here that really liked them. It's about time the "country" folks stood up and took a stand!

My best friend in radio helped jumpstart her career back in the early 90's, so she stays in close contact with him. We see her at least twice on every tour. He was even invited to their special St. Jude's fundraiser at one of their ranches. Which one did you go to?

Faith and I on her FIRST BIG WORLD TOUR! My favorite tour was much later...SPONTANEOUS COMBUSTION, where she hit it off with Tim! LITERALLY!

Yeah, I agree, and what they said wasn't even that bad! Wasn't it just something like they were ashamed that Bush was from Texas?

Not to generalize, but remember what some of the demographic that buys country albums is.

Ya, well they need to get over themselves! Those same Bush hugging, country music loving folk, now have no homes and are living in shelters.
