Default Kim Carnes

I have been re-listening to my LP of Kim's "Mistaken Identity" - and I recently purchased "View From The House" and it is highly enjoyable. My question is, are there any Kim fans out there that can recommend any other albums to me - I've had my eye on "Barking At Airplanes" & the newer album 'Chasin' Wild Trains"

Wow! I've never heard of anyone talking about Kim in relation to anything other than Bette Davis Eyes!
I love her voice - but have not heard anything else. Now I want to. Are the other songs good?
I guess so, you just recommended a couple albums.

Not much help, I know, but I was just saying I'm a fan in a small way.
I'm stoked.

Yay! I would definatley recommend "Mistaken Identity" as an album. Its the album with Bette Davis Eyes on it, and its fantastic. "View From The House" is good, but it is a country album, so that aspect does'nt really agree with me have you heard "Beggin' for Favours" that features Lindsey on Vocals & guitar? - Excellent Song

Barking At Airplanes is great! Lindsey Buckingham does a guest appearance on a song as well, vocals and guitar, on a track called 'Begging for Favors (Learning How Things Work).'

Her Best of: Gypsy Honeymoon I highly recommend.

Oops! Yes...Barking At Airplanes is a must have. My fav by Kim Carnes (and I have quite a few). The best of is awfully good and has a few tracks recorded just for the CD. Gypsy Honeymoon is a awesome song!!!

Café Racers is very good too, in a more modern way.

Cool I hate best ofs unless I have atleast 2 or 3 albums of the artist - I feel it is not really an album

Im having trouble finding B@A on CD - I may have to do an ebay purchase. I have also been looking @ Cafe' Racers - but I just can't get past how horrible the cover art is

Do you own the 2004 "Chasin' Wild Trains"? - I've heard excellent things...

I don't have it. I checked it out with sound samples, but wasn't too impressed and not quite the musical style I like...but I have heard good thinga about it. I got into Kim Carnes years ago cause I love her raspy voice. I have Mistaken Identity, Voyeur, B@A, Café Racers, View From The Lighthouse and Gypsy Honeymoon. I love them all, but my fav is B@A. Always has been.

Similiar yes. Good luck finding it. I have it on CD, the remastered one with extra tracks. Get that if you can. I know Amazon sellers have it, but you may get a better price on eBay.

Let me know what you think. I will wait.

Makes me want to put it on right now...all this talk.
