Default I know this horse is dead BUT...

now that the Christmas shopping season is under way and there is no sign of an "Unleashed" Rumors CD coming out what are your thoughts? Do you all think its just going to go away and the band will be like "Unleashed what???"

Doubt we'll see it. Rumours doesn't need another release until 2027.

Actually, I'm pretty sure that's what would have happened if I would have shelled out the $20 bucks for another version of Rumours.

When I realized that no special-edition DVD was available, I drummed my fingers along the side of the kitchen table.

Next, I went to Best Buy & bought myself a new laptop!

So I don't care what happened to that Fleetwood Mac product because now I can watch Ugetsu on my laptop!

I have no idea who is behind the marketing of Fleetwood Mac's products, but they should be fired. This is hardly the first time something like this has happened. For instance the remastered albums were announced at least a year before they ever saw the light of day, they were given release dates that kept getting changed. Same deal with Stevie's stuff, there was all kinds of talk about the live album (with the tracks recorded during her stint down under). She even mentioned it in interviews and then nothing ever came of that (other than the tracks on "Crystal Visions").
So no big surprise. The idea of releasing the 30th Anniversary of Rumours 2 years after it's 30th anniversary seemed a bit odd. If they have all this cool footage then they should just release that, no need for yet another version of the album.

You made alot of great points skuncles.....unfortunately the simplest thing to do for both Mac & Stevie seemed to just be the hardest for them to do....I'm with you just release this stuff (Mac/Stevie solo/heck Lindsey needs his own box set come on) Mac needs to release offically all its videos/besides the 'complete' Tusk/Mirage concerts on DVD with extras....as well as all the remastered LPs that were still due with many extras.....don't even get me started on the Stevie stuff......heck Lindsey probably has extras /alternates floating around as well......how sad they just sit....now is the time not 30-50 yrs from now.....don't get me also started on a picture book of Mac with color shots too...not just b/w thank you...there nice but I like some color pics myself....same with Stevie......its sad....we still lose again......I'll also not understand either of there marketing departments..........I think there heads are stuck in the sand or something?????

I have to say that, as of yesterday, I removed Rumours from my Zune.

I'm sick of it. Every last song of it.

So, I'm not crying over them not releasing it. I want new stuff.

I just noticed last night that Rumours is my least listened to Rumours-era FM album. Even after Mirage and I hated Mirage for a really long time.

It's nice to leave it alone for a few months (years) and come back to realize how great of an album it really is.
