Smile Cover song FM should perform live?

Ok...so I am bored right now and the weather is finally warm again...

Since FM performed The Farmer's Daughter already, what other song should they cover on their next tour?

This is all in fun...

"Brown Sugar"-Rolling Stones
"California Dreamin'"- The Mamas and the Papas

Lightbulb POST 600!!

I love California Dreamin!! Great choice!! I dunno, seeing as how both Stevie and Lindsey have such low voices, I think they would sound good singing Frank Sinatra tunes...my choices, Love's Been Good to Me, WHAT I WOULD NOT GIVE TO HEAR LINDSEY SING THIS!!! SIGH...and I would love to hear Stevie sing Young at Heart, you know, she sounded so great singing At Last, which was very jazzy. Those are my picks.

POST 600 for me!!

Yes it would have been nice to hear S/L belt out California Dreamin 30 years ago.

Ooh seeing Linds croon his way through Frank Sinatra songs would be something. Stevie's At Last performance kicked butt too.
Hey they could do a Bob Dylan song. Stevie did cover "Just Like a Woman." S/L could pull off a Bob! (That sounds sooo wrong!)

Tom Petty -- Don't Come Around Here No More

I would love to hear how this would've sounded if Stevie had finished it. My favorite part is the first chorus where supposedly that is Stevie singing. If I listen really hard, I can hear it.

Since Lindsey did 4...count'em, FOUR...Rolling Stones tunes during his GOS sessions, they could do one of them:

Gotta Get Away (my fave of the bunch)
She Smiled Sweetly
The Singer Not The Song
Blue Turns To Grey

Or a Donovan tune that Lindsey covered in the GOS sessions:

Try For The Sun

I think they should just "cover" old Fleetwood Mac tunes (read: pre-1975) if they're going to "cover" anything, though...and let's pick some obscure ones:

Jigsaw Puzzle Blues
Sands Of Time
Morning Rain (Lindsey lead vocal)
Dragonfly
Purple Dancer (Lindsey sings Danny's part, Stevie sings Jeremy's)
The Ghost
Child Of Mine (Stevie lead vocal)
Dust
Did You Ever Love Me? (I think Lindsey & Stevie would kick butt on this one)
She's Changing Me

"ELIZABETH REED"?!?!?! Without Dickey Betts in the band anymore, it's tough enough to get the ALLMAN BROS to play that one these days.

Maybe the SPLINTER GROUP could do "Liz Reed", tho'

I wish FM would play old pre-S/L FM songs. I love Sands of Time. I was just playing on my guitar earlier yesterday! I think anything on Bare Trees would be awesome. I wish Lindsey would play Sunny Side of Heaven. Didn't they used to do that back in '75 or '76? I have a live show of MAC playing that song!

Whenever I listen to Did you Ever Love Me, I always feel like I am in the Bahamas or something. But I have never been there so I have no idea what I am talking about!!!

I had never heard that Stevie was rumoured to have recorded the first chorus in this? Pls tell more...I'm intrigued now & can't wait to get the album back out & listen to it.
