Beautiful Child
Well it certainly was one of the most electric Stevie moments for me. Hopefully one day it will get officially released as part of the SYW concert. Really the only non-electric moments of the concert for me were "Dreams" and "Gypsy". I'm not opposed to them being done, especially for the casual fan or the fan who's never heard them before live. Overall I was pretty happy with the mix of songs they went with. You simply can't please everyone.

Save Me A Place was played on the Tusk tour - at least early on. I saw them in October of 79 - my first FM show - and they played it then. Gorgeous - with Stevie harmonizing throughout a lot of it. They also did Angel and Sisters. For me that was the most exciting "live" time for FM. Everything felt so loose and unrehearsed.
The show on this tour seems stale in comparison. For the life of me, I can't figure out how they can find it interesting to do the same set all year long. It's such a drag. If Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, R.E.M., Bob Dylan, and the surviving members of the Dead can all change the setlist each night, then so can Fleetwood Mac. |
