All I know is the rumors were correct about his departure. Stevie is finally getting her fantasy in a roundabout way. She has a heartbreaker in HER band. Man how did I go from love to hate in a couple of short years? Oh yeah I know...She’s become insufferable.

I have the same experience with her. I was actually coming around again... but, the things I've heard.... $he played thi$ very well. Mick is a pimp, it'$ Stevie pulling the strings. People can't and won't see it.

This just gets worse, I’m not a lover or hater of Stevie, she’s an integral part of the BAND I love.
But how is Stevie pulling the strings there’s five of them in this band.
You obviously hear a lot more in US than we do in the U.K........

the drama is real. did you see Lindsey's daughter's IG post last night? "Fleetwood Mac isn’t Fleetwood Mac without you #prouddaughter"

she was responding to and liking people's outpours of love and support. she confirmed he was fired. Lindsey's brother also commented on her post.

many fans have heard this boiling (and didn't wanna believe it!) for the last 2 months.

Just saw the IG posts.
Guess I was being too fair.

Very sad.

Not really... people just hear and say things very freely, and usually they share the story they believe to be true based on who their favorite member is. Stevie fans say one thing, Lindsey fans say another. It appears Lindsey fans are giving Christine and John a pass and are focusing on Stevie, saying pretty much she has manipulated Mick and Mike Campbell.

But really, we know nothing other than FM fired Lindsey. We don't know why, and every 'explanation' on this board is speculation. Hopefully, a more forthcoming explanation from the five people involved will answer our questions, but until then just know that no one here knows why Lindsey was fired.

The only official statement is that Lindsey didn't want to tour at this time.

Christine is being raked over the coals on a few threads and people are referring to John as complacent. Again the official statement only says Lindsey didn't want to tour.

What official statement says this?

Imagine paying $1000 to hear "Don't Dream It's Over" instead of "Go Your Own Way"

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.

Yes. But why let the facts get in the way of a good story?

It didn't take the band long to replace Lindsey ... in a statement provided to TMZ, the group has announced that Mike Campbell (Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers) and Neil Finn (Crowded House) will join the group for the upcoming tour.

As for the Lindsey situation, the statement simply reads, "Lindsey Buckingham will not be performing with the band on this tour. The band wishes Lindsey all the best."

To clarify it didn't say he didn't want to tour it said he wasn't going to. I'm having a hard time keeping up at this point.

He is? I do know that women he has been involved with have said he is abusive. Ken Cailllat says he witnessed that in his book. I don't think he is the same man any more. For a brief shining, moment in the 90's I do think there was an improvement in his relationship with Stevie. Something went horribly wrong with them around Say You Will and I believe whatever relationship they do have as been on the decline ever since. He may be a great guy or he may be a jerk but there's no question in my mind that the relationship between he and Stevie is extremely toxic.

Understandable... but there's a big difference!

So, does that mean that we actually have no reason to believe that Lindsey didn't want to tour?
