A great song & a good choice: perfect structure, beautiful melody, & poignant lyrics. But Lindsey ought to know better than to credit Percy Faith with it. It was written by Mancini (music) & Mercer (lyrics). It's probably my favorite Mancini song, my second favorite being THE DAYS OF WINE & ROSES.

James Young (STYX guitarist) opts for "Prelude" by Debussy. What exactly is he referring to? Does he even know? Debussy's piano preludes number 24 in all, two sets or books of 12 each. And then there's Debussy's PRELUDE TO THE AFTERNOON OF A FAUN, for orchestra. Young might mean that, I suppose -- or the Prelude to SUITE BERGAMASQUE, a stirring little piece from that excellent four-part piano suite (the third part of which, CLAIR DE LUNE, you've probably heard on TV or in movies).

The Percy Faith version must be the one Lindsey prefers...

I agree, a very beautiful melody and the lyrics have a touching simplicity.

Moon River, wider than a mile:
I'm crossin' you in style someday.
Old dream maker, you heartbreaker,
Wherever you're goin', I'm goin' your way.
Two drifters, off to see the world.
There's such a lot of world to see.
We're after the same rainbow's end,
Waitin' round the bend,
My huckleberry friend,
Moon River and me.
