Brian!
Beat me to it by 6 minutes!
Yeah I love the loook of this art. It's got a real Bare Trees atmosphere. Very provocative! So John Shanks co-produced Peacekeeper? These days individual songs can have different producers than the album as a whole I see. Well, he did a stand-out job with TISL so I don't mind Lindsey making some room for him at the mixing board.

John Shanks...
is all over the place (Production & song wise...) these days. The latest release from Keith Urban has 2 songs co-written by John Shanks including the #1 country track "Somebody Like You" (Which has a TISL type sound & solo to it)...Kinda ironic that John Shanks, In the past year, Has worked with 2 guitarists who have the same playing style-Lindsey Buckingham & Keith Urban...Brian J.

I'm thinking those four hands are each one member of the band. The small tiny one is Stevie's obviously. I agree with the Bare Trees feel.

They don't look like white people's hands to me. It may be that the fact the pic is in black and white makes the skin look more tan. I don't think they are the band members hands. I hope this is not a sign of the upcoming album art. I was hoping for some nice painting a la Tango (a print of which has been a part of my decor for 15 years now) not some "who is it" thing like Behind the Mask.
On the other hand, use of the hands helps explain Lindsey hand poses for the recent promo pics. Maybe they're going for some theme to trip us all out on hands. John Last edited by jwys_soapbox; 02-27-2003 at 09:52 PM.. |

Single produced by Lindsey Buckingham and John Shanks. Album produced by Lindsey Buckingham. And then the announcement of the downloadable songs notes that "Peacekeeper" will be the "album cut version." I'm wondering if we'll be hearing a different version of the track on the radio, than what we'll find on the album. Johnny Stew

Ahhh thanks for clarifying that Johnny Stew. I didn't see where it said Lindsey does the album by himself. And the idea of separate cuts? I love it! Give the plebs the glossy candy, give us the Buckingham!

from "one of the greatest bands of all time?"
Well, of couse they are! Thats why it doesn't need to be said! I think that looks kinda silly. But I guess it is just a poster. I also think the pic is kinda corny, though I do like the Bare Trees feel. I would rather there were something more ironic and thought-provoking, like the song.
I agree John Shanks did great work on TISL...he'll probably do nice work on this too. -Sonia
