D.V.D help
Help. I have just ordered the Audio D.V.D of Rumours.
After talking to a guy at Future Shop here in Canada he said it won't work for me. I have a cd writer/ dvd combo drive on my computer with a 5.1 sound card with 4 speakers and a sub. This man claims that the drive won't recognise audio dvd, after I have to pay 38 bucks for it. Any help would be nice. Thanks Alison |

As far as I know it should work fine.
The Rumours DVD audio has a 5.1 mix that will work on DVD video machines (well, about 90% of them). It works fine on my DVD player and on the X Box too. If in doubt then email the guys at 5.1 Entertainment Group at support@5point1.net Tell them what PC and DVD drive you have and they should give you an answer. |

I agree, it should work fine. I have a similar computer set-up to you, and I use Power DVD as my software, and it works fine. You need one more speaker channel to fully "hear it" but it should still definitely work. The main problems arise when people try to run DVD-As on standard CD-ROM drives, and that definitely does not work.
But like MFM said, just drop 5.1 an email if in doubt. |

I have the Rumours DVD and it plays just fine on my computer. I have a DVD drive and I just pop it in there and it plays fine.
