Default Should have put TITN on VBOFM

Tango in the Night ...why didn't they put that on instead of a Lindsey solo song like Go Insane??

I love that song, so instead of butchering ISA, they should have put Tango in the Night on that album. That IS Lindseys very best...HOT HOT HOT.

Why didn't they?????

I agree. I had been thinking the same thing. Go Insane is a Lindsey solo song, not a Fleetwood Mac song. It's the Very Best of Fleetwood Mac. Tango In The Night would have been perfect instead of Go Insane.

But, there are people like me, who haven't heard any song from Lindsey's solo album, so then they would hear something that he's written. But I do agree with macfan 57.

Default Couldn't agree more..

TITN is one of my favorite Lindsey songs with FM..I have often wondered how they decide what goes on an album and what doesn't..

Go Insane'97 is my favourite song of all time, so I am REALLY happy that it is on the CD.

I do agree that it's kinda weird that it's on a Fleetwood Mac "Best Of" CD (but then again it was also on the FLEETWOOD MAC release "The Dance Video/DVD"....), but I ain't complainin'

Tango In The Night should have been on the "Best Of" CDs for sure, but, IMHO, in place any of the non-LB/SN/CM songs preferably.

I would now class Go Insane as a Fleetwood Mac song. He's played it more with Mac than he has solo it seems.

Nobody complained when Stand Back went on The Chain box set. I don't see how this differs.

I think it should be on the VBO album.

They should have put Tango on in place of that awful edit of I'm So Afraid, the most awful thing I've ever heard.

I agree, TITN should have been on the album. I have always wondered how big Lindsey's lungs are when he holds on the tangooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo note!!!!!

Tango in the night, is probably the best mac song from the latter part of the 80s

Go insane is still a good choice as it was an important part of The Dance

I agree that titn is a greatsong but i would not have it in place of go insane wich is one of my absolute favorite songs and my favorite song from the dance dvd.
And the edit of iso is ofcourse a shame
if i had to choose one of the other tracks to go of and have titn put in it's place it would be "no questions asked"

Well, it's a little upsetting the way that they put nearly the entire Rumours album and a large chunk of Fleetwood Mac and Tusk on there. Mirage has all of three songs and Tango has five (or you COULD say only four, as they pulled Big Love off of The Dance). I've always loved Tango in the Night (the song), even being the not-so-much Lindsey fan that I am (as far as songwriting goes). I CERTAINLY love his producing, esp. Stevie's songs. Even though it was a single, I really have to question why Family Man was put on there instead of Tango. I also question why No Questions Asked is on there...but I've already been through this in another post.

As far as Stand Back being on the Box Set goes, I'm thinking that if The Ledge were around in '92, there WOULD have been a lot of complaining, and if Stand Back were on the Very Best of Fleetwood Mac and not Go Insane, there would have been a lot of complaining too. But what does it really matter? It's not like mostly all of us don't have everything that's on VBFM. The only change that I would have personally liked was having Gold Dust Woman from The Dance on it, which I DON'T have on cd because I stupidly saw the Silver Springs cd but didn't buy it a long time ago. I could smack myself a million times for that now.

lol....well I wouldn't be surprised if there was a bit of "studio tweaking" in that particular case.....

but...

when he sings the tune to "Theme From A Summer's Place" at the end of "You Do Or You Don't" at the Center Stage show, and he holds that last note....that's absolutely mindblowing!
