Default Warm Ways

Hey Chris Fans,

I was listening to a jazz station yesterday and what comes on? "Warm Ways." It was great to hear, and the dj followed it up with a remark, somethng like "That was a classic. Christine McVie of Fleetwood Mac."

Just thought you'd enjoy this tidbit.

Wow! I don't think I've ever heard "Warm Ways" on the radio & on a jazz station yet. I think it's a beautiful song, very underrated. It has kind of an "island" sort of feel.

Thats the exact feel I get from it too. I think Warm Ways into Blue Letter is such a great transition on that album.

I heard it on KLOS out here when I was 18 or so and ever since i heard it on the radio followed by Jim Ladd giving it a rave review I had an appreciation for it ever since....

It's a beautiful song, I played it driving from NJ to Washington DC with my
cousins, it was my first trip to the States in 15 years, I was 22...

yes, it's a classic. But... on a jazz station??? Does WW sound jazz?

LOVE that song!
It has always been one of my faves of Christine's work.
It has such a wonderful "feel" to it.... something I love about all of her work.

I don't think "Warm Ways" sounds anything like a jazz song. Now, "Brown Eyes"....that's a jazz song.

it certainly is a classic! that's so fun that you heard it on the radio. personally, i love 'warm ways'. . .it's such a soothing song. it makes me want to have a glass of wine and watch the world go by out the window.

last week i heard 'hold me' in our office building. we've recently had a few ahem, 'surgical offices' (of the plastic type) move in on the lobby floor, so i guess they're now trying to soothe the patients by using the intercom system as a radio.

it is sort of like when they play whitney on the wave and call it smooth jazz....

or phil collins.... etc....

i'd rather hear warm ways!
