you really think any of the songs on BuckVie are more varied than Murrow or Come on one side of the spectrum vs Red Rover vs Steal Your Heart Away on a completely different side (and much closer to BuckVie songs)?

My money is on Carnival Begin and On With the Show....with Game of Pretend and Lay Down for Free being ignored.

yeah, that would work just nicely as far as i'm concerned - so happy they are doing so many new songs, can't wait! I can't figure it out which one between Lay Down For Free and On With the Show they'll do, but i figure one of those, and then i really hope For Carnival. i think Chrsitine will do Somgbird, so they'll leave Game of Pretend out.

Art has gone out the window for her and all she cares about is the cash This is not the same person I used to adore. The fact that she didn't do this album I will never forgive her for. She could've contributed three songs and been in and out of the studio in a few weeks. the excuse that it would've taken a long time to record is BS. Again my opinion and I'm entitled to it
You're right. You're absolutely right. You are entitled to your opinion, as we all are. And I actually completely agree with you on most of what you've written. I too would have loved to have seen and heard Stevie on this album, and it's disappointing.

But I was commenting on your statement that Stevie "on cue, released a song to upstage her band mates". Is that REALLY your opinion? Do you really think she has any say as to when a movie or soundtrack is released? Especially a movie that she has absolutely NOTHING to do with, other than contributing vocals to ONE song? Do you really think she has that much power over movie studio execs? The movie was supposed to be released last September. Is it your opinion that she somehow managed to convince Focus Features to push back the film to coincide with the release date of Lindsey and Chris' album to try and upstage them?

I mean, seriously. Answer THAT question. Do you really believe THAT?

I mean, I'm not trying to stir the pot either, but I'm SERIOUSLY just astounded by this mentality...and really wish we could all just stay on topic with this thread. I realize I'm not helping things, and this is the last time I'll bring Stevie into this thread, but I mean...COME ON!!!

yup you are definitely not. and calling people morons and asinine doesn't help either. yet instead of apologizing you keep insisting on a completely irrelevant line of questioning.

That's awesome. Theoretically, though, they could probably get away with performing all 10 songs off the new album, and then about 7 or 8 songs from the back catalog!

wouldn't THAT be something!?

unfortunatley though, other than those 8 new songs we will probably only get their FM staples and hits. but if each of them would pull 2 unexpected deeper or unperformed cuts that would be beyond amazing!!

Elle, I'm just TRYING to understand. I apologize if people are offended by those words, but my point is THAT MENTALITY (that Stevie could have anything to do with the release date of a MOVIE SOUNDTRACK that she merely contributed vocals to ONE song...that she didn't even write!) is absolutely CRAZY! It's nuts that anyone would BELIEVE THAT or even ACCUSE HER OF THAT. NUTS!

Again, I'm just trying to understand why. But the reality of the situation is that there's no one out there who will be able to rationalize that in a way that makes any sense whatsoever...so I'll just shut up now.

I apologize for my part in derailing the thread. I'll keep my frustrations to myself. Back on topic.

Seeing the updated info no I don't that anymore. But it's sad that my opinion of her has slipped SO much in the last few years. She talks out of both sides of her mouth and you never can believe a word she says anymore. I'll always love alot of her songs though, that won't change.

Yes, x10. I also think Bleed to Love Her was better on The Dance.

I'm obsessed with this record and cannot get enough of it. This is the FM record that I have been waiting for, for so long!

I agree! I haven't slept much the past week, because these songs are so damned catchy, that I keep hearing them in my head! It's such a fun album!

"Sometimes I wonder, do you ever think of me...." THAT'S the line that I CAN'T get out of my head.

Strangely, mine is "Cause you're are the reason for my happiness..." I'm not very keen on that song but it's growing on me for some reason.
