Question "An Evening With Fleetwood Mac"

I received my ticket yesterday morning in the mail and saw that it stated on the ticket "An Evening With Fleetwood Mac"...So I guess you can say no "opening act", Which should make for an interesting concert. What do y'all think?

Sounds great to me. They say the concerts will be over 2 hours so I guess they plan on just them. Out of curiousity, what is the start time on your ticket?

I also think that they may have named their tour the "Evening with Fleetwood Mac" tour.

on my ticket is 8PM...Which leaves absolutely no time for an opening act, (Paul McCartney's concert also started at 8PM and he played until 11PM), Which should make for (Hopefully) a quite interesting setlist...Bwj

"an evening with fleetwood mac" was also the title on The Dance's tour tickets, it's nothing new really.

Oh, gotcha! I didn't get to go to a show on that tour so I thought it was new. Thanks for the insight.

I wouldn't assume that there is no opening act. I just saw Tori Amos, and the name of her opening act was not listed on the ticket.

The concert started at 8, but Tori only began performing around 9. She got done a little past 11.

there but if Mick Fleetwood was right in from statements he recently made, FM will be playing a 2.5 hour set...An opening band would have little or no time, Not with a set changeover afterwards and a 30-45 minute set. I don't think FM would like to have to pay "Overtime" fees for going over "structured time curfews" in venues...Guess we'll have to just see, Bwj

Any opening band for ANY concert would drop a load if they got 30-45 minute set! Most concerts I've been to lately, the opening act is LUCKY to get 20 minutes (4-5 songs if they're short ones)

Plus, if the stage is designed right, "changeovers" aren't the 45-60 minutes drags they used to be. The last time I saw the PGSG, the set was changed from opening act to main attraction in 8 minutes.

That's true chiliD, I'm surprised that Ryan Adams received almost an hours' time opening for the Rolling Stones. Show started exactly at 7:30 and he finished his set at 8:25. After the set change-over the Stones played from 9PM to 11PM...Bwj

ps-The roadies had Ryan Adams equipment down in less than 10 minutes...

the tickets for OKC are still available for the pre-sale through the Ford Center email list that I signed up for. I ordered my ticket on March 5th when the pre-sale started, This presale is not to be confused with the "fanclub" pre-sale...Brian J.

I really wish they would have an opening band. I kinda miss that. I'm all about the anticipation before the show. i like getting there early and living in that moment of pre-show excitement where you go to your seats to find out how good (or bad!) they are and then you get up and check out the merchandise...maybe grab a beer for $10 and your off!!! Then, the opening band comes on and you can kind of sit back and enjoy it and not have too much pressure. When FM comes on i feel all this anxiety....good anxiety but it's not the same with any other band. i feel like i have to absorb EVERY single thing that's going on...also, i like bringing my camera so i'm constantly looking for the best shots....like Stevie's howling during "GDW" and "Rhiannon". We'll see what goodies there are this time around!
