Exclamation "GYOW"...Speed Metal version???

I was watching television last night when I heard a "speed metal" version of "Go Your Own Way" that wasnt half bad...

Has anyone else heard of this version by the band "Seaweed"?

Btw, It is on the soundtrack of the movie "Clerks"...

Back when Clerks came out about ten years ago, my high school guidance couselor was obsessed with it. He played the soundtrack constantly, so I'm sure I heard it but never recognized it. LOL

Thumbs up I was...

just finishing my recordings when I heard the start of the version but I didnt really pay attention til I heard those ever popular lyrics "Loving you...isnt the right thing to do" and I was like in awe that someone would do a heavy version of GYOW...But it works in my opinion.

As for guidance counselors I agree with what the movie "Clerks" stated..."Guidance counselors are useless"...LOL!!!! Mine found out when I taught/showed her a new meaning for a four-lettered f-word...=)

I still stand by my assessment that it's part of coming-of-age to tell off a guidance counselor or teacher. Lord knows I've done it...many, many times. Even in college. Everyone that works at my college is an asshole, IMO. They never smile at you, never make small talk, NOTHING. Finally, after an encounter with one particular ass working in the Registars office, I blew up and screamed "I'm the customer, TREAT ME LIKE ONE!! I'm paying your salary, goddamn you!!" Then I left in a huff.

I'm pretty sure it's by the punk band Nofx. (not sure how that's spelled)

My brother has it on his computer and I've heard it a few times.

Nofx? Speed metal? LOL

Nofx are as wussy as they come. When punk bands do covers, it's always so lame and predictable. They just up the tempo, crank up the volume, and do a fake-book style barre chord version of the song. I could do a punk cover of Go Your Own Way. They must think it's cute. It isn't.

I just hate punk rock anyways. I'd sooner listen to the commercial garbage they pass off as country nowadays than that junk.
