I am thinking about posting a bullitin on Myspace to inform the masses of the surgery. That way I can announce to a larger audience and not have to tell EVERY SINGLE PERSON....

The reason why I said that is because it would be a faster way to let people know of my upcoming surgery. I have already started telling people, and It is kind of a scary thought.....

Sweetheart, while I still wish you the best of luck in your surgery...I have to wonder if your reaching out for support and sympathy (which I am glad to give in your condition...believe me, I need it sometimes in my medical condition!) or just a blatant attempt for more attention.

I don't post much...TRUE. I watch, read...lurking is more like it.

However, I am a wonderful observer of human nature...especially of teenagers, since I have taught high school for 8 years. I think I remember reading that you are in high school. I think you may need a friend, or maybe your friends aren't there now that you need them??? And if that is true, that is very sad...but it is very tacky to take advantage of a medical condition for attention, so tread lightly my dear.

My apologies if I have misunderstood. If you need guidance, I will try and help otherwise. It just gets monotonous to see you keep bringing this up...don't dwell on the negative or the imperfections!

Well, Ethan, I can't tell you not to worry because it's nearly impossible to not have some anxiety before something like this, but try to not worry unnecessarily. Did you get all of the details about the procedure and recovery info? I'd ask, if you haven't already. I'm thinking about getting some minor elective surgery done in the summer, and finding out everything you can about it is a good way to calm your fears. If you know what you're getting into, it's less worrisome.
