Fleetwood Mac's Mick surprises viral Dreams TikTok star Nathan Apodaca

Fleetwood Mac's drummer Mick Fleetwood has surprised the star of a viral TikTok video featuring the band's 1977 hit song Dreams.
Nathan Apodaca from Idaho filmed himself skateboarding to the track while drinking cranberry juice.
The TikTok has helped Dreams to its biggest ever week on streaming services - with more than 8 million streams in the US in the past week.
BBC World News America brought the two men together live on TV.

Surely Karen has seen it; Stevie's god daughters are all young enough to inform her about it (as Mick said his daughters told him to do his video). But you know Stevie, social media is evil blah blah blah (she says as someone who doesn't actually use it or know it) But I just don't see Stevie saying as Mick did that the band "owes" this guy for pushing the song into people's consciousness in this way. She thinks it's all because of her and how fabulous a songwriter she is. And really, would she be talking to a guy in a beat up motor home? She only talks to celebs. She's a legend you know.

Rumours moves up 20 spots on the Billboard Top 200 albums chart to #27 from #47 last week. Greatest Hits released in 1988 moves up to #103 from #169 last week. The Alternate Rumours limited edition vinyl album released for Record Store Day on September 26th enters the Billboard Top 200 at #164 on sales of 7,000 unit.

I hate to beat a dead horse and prefer to let things go, but all this current success has made the breakup of the band more disappointing and an embarrassment. Mick has already been trying to exploit the moment for the attention, but you know he would love to see a bigger financial gain from the attention by putting the band on display. And you better believe that he has spent the $14+ million that he made on the last tour and needs money...again

I can't believe she has not commented on this. Maybe due to a song produced during the glorious peak years of her creativity just seems like too much of a glittering gem compared to the turd she just put out last Friday

That said, I don't buy the Stevie Nicks attitude/Lindsey Buckingham attitude.
I think the situation is much more nuanced and I'm not even sure how much involvement the band members themselves have in blocking Youtube clips (but I do know from many other Youtubers that Fleetwood Mac, along with Eagles, are really big blockers). I think on this occasion the TikTok wasnt blocked as they just didn't get a chance as it blew up so quickly.

i can't stand that guy. Lindsey Buckingham's own videos were taken down / blocked in the past on youtube, remember? back in 2006-2008 on his channel. and somehow all our live recordings of Lindsey's song stay up, but RB's never do? riiiiiiight.

that said, i do think WB or a part of that co has a hand in some of the blockings.
