At first I wasn't sure about this but I just checked and wow, the tickets are indeed not selling too well. The shows in the Los Angeles area have only sold about 3/10 the amount of space. Significantly over half the seats are still available. Note, the LA area usually sells out VERY fast.
They're going to need to keep dropping those prices or they're going to find themselves playing to half empty arenas.

How's that bitch move working for you now, Stevie and Dick?

This really seems like a win- win scenerio. Those looking forward to these shows are getting deeply discounted and more readily available tickets. And you guys get your “I told you so Stevie, you over rated greedy goat bitch” fuel you so desperately crave.

How have any of you been able to spin this into a negative discussion?

Splendid observation!

That being said though...
This couldn't be happening to a more deserving bunch.

Oh, I love that! “Over rated greedy goat bitch”

That’s name calling, right?

But this time it wasn’t me!

It’s not that hard to have guessed you would’ve liked it! It’s like writing a country song, you only need to know 5 to 10 key words and rotate them and know that particular audience is gonna love it.

i think name calling of the band members on TL was noirmally allowed. not necessary my preference but it was. however the name calling of people posting was never allowed.

now some people are insisting we shouldn't be saying anything against [certain] band members while at the same time insisting that many people posting on the board need to see a shrink (to put it nicely).

Exactly. The rules here have ALWAYS been that the band members are fair game, but Ledge members are not.

Mama screwed up, and the backlash has been overwhelming for them.

Yeah, that perfectly describes any Stevie’s song.

I'm not surprised tickets for many shows aren't selling as briskly as perhaps expected. A good portion of these shows are a year away, so the general public is in no rush to buy at the moment. You also have a lot of fans on the fence with this one. As shows get closer and excitement builds (and prices drop a bit), they'll step up, even if it's just out of curiosity. Remember, too, that the band is not touring on a hit record or even any new music. They have to really sell the nostalgia element minus one of the key members who helped build that legacy. It's hard for them to really push the "fresh new band" angle without any music to prove that it's actually a fresh new band with a great sound.

All that said, I think the tour will sell just fine. The Boston, Connecticut, and NYC shows are nearly sold out. Overall, it might not be a blockbuster, but the band ain't gonna go home with just pennies in their pockets. A tarnished reputation, on the other hand? Well, we'll have to wait and see how the shows are......
