Ethan. I like Joe Walsh's stuff both solo and with the Eagles (though the best guitar he ever played imo is on the Steve Winwood track - Split Decision). There is one Don Henley track I like and that is called 'Heart Of The Matter', mainly for the lyrics, I think it was written by Mike Campbell and someone else (JD Souther maybe), beautiful song (in my top 10 favourites) and I have to admit Don Henley sings it really well.

Yeah, I tend to like their stuff that has great million part harmonies. "One of these Nights and Whole In The World" are great. Also, "You Belong To The City" although I think that is a Glen Frey solo song though.

I love The Eagles!! I've seen them 3 times. It's hard to pick a favorite song...so today it's "The Last Resort". It'll change tomorrow. Their harmonies...good god! I met Don Henley and he's really a nice guy.

One song that they do that I do like is their live cover of "Seven Bridges Road".
Other than that, mwah.

Well, Take it Easy was on the radio this AM and I was thinking how much I love them and should do them for karaoke. I grew up listening to them cuz my Dad is a fan. My brother loved them too and would ask my Dad to put them on. They always put him to sleep though! I love Seven Bridges Road and have a nice live version on my MySpace profile.

Thumbs up

According to Iloveallaccess.com

There is a big announcement coming regarding The Eagles and The Dixie Chicks. The rumor is that The Dixie Chicks will open up for The Eagles on the new tour.

I would like to see The Eagles once as they have some good songs. My favorite song is either Doolin Daltin or The Last Resort.

Matt.

I liked the Eagles until I saw them live (about two months before the Hotel California album was released). After that, I couldn't stand them. I think if you're going to come out & play your songs exactly, note-for-note, how you recorded them, then you ought to save your fans the expense of the tickets & parking & concessions. I'd rather just save the money and listen to the albums, since the sound is better, in the comfort of my own home or car. They're obviously not doing anything different to entice me to see them onstage.

And, the song "Hotel California" has long ago reached the plateau of songs such as "Stairway To Heaven", "Roundabout", "Riders On The Storm", "Money", "Another Brick In The Wall", "Smoke On The Water", "Free Bird", "Sweet Home Alabama", "Hey Jude" & "Dreams" (yes, "Dreams") that if I never hear them again, I won't miss hearing them.

**** The Eagles. I'd much rather listen to The James Gang and Joe Walsh's solo stuff than the Henley-fronted crap they're known for. Although I like "Take It To The Limit" a lot. And ironically enough, "Pretty Maids All In A Row" is one of my all-time favorite songs. I guess that's because it's a Joe Walsh song. Hmm.

Some of the songs are okay, but generally speaking... no, I don't like the Eagles.

And, I have to say that I really hate Desperado. Puke.
