Then on the subject of not wanting to go through the pain of childbirth, geez, has she never heard of an epidural? Many times you only have to be dilated to a 3 (has to get to a 10 for those who don't know it) before women can get one.

Most OB docs won't do C-sections on first time moms unless there is a medical neccesity. It is a far greater risk for mom and baby to do a cesarean. Repeat c-sections are a different story because it's possible for the uterus to rupture during a vaginal birth after a previous c-section.

Anyway, my two cents. After 45 hrs of labor, I would still say that I would rather not have a C-section because of the pain AFTER. Not to mention they cut thru that muscle which takes awhile to heal, so we'll see how fab Britney's abs look now.

Check this out... My cousin just had a baby boy about a week or so ago... his umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck... and his heartrate suddenly dropped.. so she had an emergency c-section... instead of cutting from hip to hip... she was cut the other way.. all the way up her tummy... her doctor said it was the fastest delivery he ever performed.

and we got a big ole 9 pounder named Cameron!
