Which one is the best lyricist ?
I would say Stevie, since her lyrics are more full of feelings, of her life and experiences. Chris is more lika storyteller. About Lindsey, I'm not sure.
And Stevie's songs are beautiful, well, I like a lot when she mention those words with a second meaning, my "silver spring", the "gold dust" woman, never a "blue calm sea", etc... |

Uh-oh... this won't be good.
(No offense, Villavic!)

I would honestly have to say that it depends on song by song.
Take Red Rover and Illume for instance... who could choose? Not me.

Awww...poor Lindsey doesn't have any votes. It's not that his songs aren't good...cuz they are...but Stevie is the best. Her lyrics are so obscure but they can mean different things to different people, and they all mean something to her.

Christine
I vote her because I find her lyrics peaceful and poetic (in a sense).
Lindsey and Stevie are just as wonderful... but I tend to like what Chris writes a little more.

I can't wait until next Saturday so we can have something else to talk about.
I chose Lindsey. He is the best, because he's my favorite.

As much as I love Lindsey~~~I selected Stevie because her lyrics are one of her strongest points. She has a great way with words and I love many of her songs.

The whole best thing is subjective to who we favor. His lyrics are the best because they touch my heart and soul. I LOVE Stevie's lyrics, she writes amazing stuff, but for some odd reason, they don't hit me like Lindsey's do. I love them both, love Christine too, and Danny and Peter, but none of those people hit me either.
I'm sure it's that way for Stevie fans, Peter fans, Bob fans...etc.

A few rare people "cross party lines," so to speak, and will vote for someone other than their usual favorite, but 99.9% of the time, we're going to go with our "favorite." Out of 30 years of music, Lindsey has about 10 songs that really hit me on a deep, meaningful level. Don't get me wrong... I love (or at least greatly enjoy) all of his work (the "dislikes" I sometimes mention, are only disliked in comparison to how much I enjoy so many of the other songs), but I don't connect with his lyrics on a reliable basis. There are quite a number of Christine songs that move me, but, hands down, it's Stevie whose songs hit me where I live. Play me any single Stevie Nicks-penned song you can think of, and there's always something I can relate to... even if it's only one verse, or just the bridge, or whatever. So, for that reason, she becomes my "favorite" of the three, and the one I would choose as the "best" lyricist. But, just as Christy said... it's all totally subjective. "Diff'rent strokes, for diff'rent folks," after all. Quote:

I'm a huge Christine fan, but on this field I have to pick up Stevie. It was very hard because both of them have great songs and stinkers... but Stevie's lyrics, when well obtained, are nonparleil.
No offense to Lindsey fans of course. Song of the moment - If Anyone Falls
