CMT awards tonight: Little Big Town/Keith Urban The Chain
http://ryanseacrest.com/2013/06/05/t...ts-cmt-awards/
The CMT Music Awards take the stage tonight and On Air with Ryan Seacrest has learned the first five minutes are seriously jam-packed! Hosted by Jason Aldean and Kristen Bell, the award show will be kicked off with a duet by Jason Aldean and rock legend Lenny Kravitz, followed by a film which includes everyone from Vince Vaughn, Lorraine Bracco, Dr. Drew, Kelsey Grammar, and many more. As well as a total of 19 performances, including Little Big Town’s cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “The Chain” with a surprise appearance of Keith Urban on guitar. Not to mention, Nelly, Taylor Swift, Florida Georgia Lane, Darius Rucker, and Lady Antebellum will hit the stage as well. Carrie Underwood will also lend her vocals for a tribute to her home state Oklahoma, singing “See You Again.” Catch the CMT Music Awards live tonight at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CMT and CMT.com |

i watched it. thought they did a pretty good job with it, and nice touch with Keith Urban doing his guitar idol's solo.

I watched it and kinda liked how it opened. I have seen Little Big Town perform "The Chain" several times now and found this to be their most passionate performance of it. Nice stage and lighting for most of the performance tonight.

I liked it. I mean, nothing is going to top FM but it wasn't bad.
Mumford & Sons has been doing it live with Edward Sharpe too. Not sure if that's old news, but it's really cool to see these artists bringing new life to the song and hopefully gaining a new generation of fans for FM!

Keith Urban's awesome live.He rocks. I love Little Big Town and Lady Antebellum I'm not a fan of Jason Aldean though. I wonder when CMT will air Stevie's Crossroads show.I cant wait for that to come on.

I thought it was great. And the audience loved it.

I like Keith Urban, but I cannot stand Little Big Town. Their songs are ****, and everything that's wrong with modern country music. (Pontoon? Boondocks?) I just hate that every mixed gender band draws comparisons to FM. Last edited by GypsySorcerer; 06-06-2013 at 09:28 AM.. |

I got the show off of TVFreeload Downloading now ,I'll watch it later.
I prefer classic country over then the new stuff. The new stuff sounds more like rock and roll and not country but I still listen to it.I'm glad that George Strait is still going strong and keeping his sound the same as he sounded in the 1980's. The same goes for Alan Jackson. I will miss the late great George Jones and yes nobodies will fill his shoes from todays artists.

Although, LBT did shamelessly rip off The Chain, so they were trying for that comparison. Michele |
