Well, I'd be one of those audience members. I'm really not into hearing children sing anything and particularly not Landslide. So, I would have been annoyed at the concert, but when I got home FM would have received coverage on the local and national news and I would have been really happy about that. Michele

I'll be there Thursday for round #2. I hope the "surprise" sets the right tone for the evening!

PS22 was just a feature story on ABC Nightline. Anyone else catch it? It's nice to see kids get caught up in the music like they do. They showed them singing a Cold Play song, Eye of the Tiger, and also Landslide. They did mention that they will be performing the song for Stevie tomorrow. Their teacher Mr. B clearly loves what he does! Hope they have a blast tomorrow!

I did! Completely by accident while channel surfing... I recognized the kids when they were singing eye of the tiger... Nice to see them getting recognition like this.. they deserve it. I bet they could sell a bunch of cds if they recorded these tunes professionally - raise money for the music program.

Agreed. If FM can have a marching band on stage, you would think they'd be open to having a chorus as well.

This is an excerpt from ABC news, June 10, 2009. I guess they're still reporting the wrong information.

http://abcnews.go.com/print?id=7806073

Stevie Nicks, formerly of Fleetwood Mac, said their rendition of the group's song "Landslide" brought her to tears. So now they're singing for her June 11 at Madison Square Garden.

"It is humbling," Breinberg said. "It is truly humbling. I went into this job to teach music. ... I mean, I shouldn't be having the opportunities I'm having."

They are apparently going to sing for her at MSG.... It'll just be a surprise during sound check for Stevie. Not during the show.
