Alot of people on this board didn't like the book. But, both Bob Welch & John McVie said that it was by and large accurate. That's good enough for me.

And despite its few errors of fact and occasional revisionisms, many of the events he writes about have been corroborated in oral testimony by Stevie and Christine. Lindsey took issue with the book, primarily because he felt it underplayed his contribution to the band. But he never outright said it was lies.

I do like live concerts I must admit but I won't be going to another FM one unless there's something new on offer. Quite frankly without a new album it'll be more of the same.

Start with The Chain. Three really long songs Come, I'm so Afraid and World Turning, so time your beer comsumption and visits to the loo around these songs. Lindsey kisses Stevie's hand after Landslide. Lindsey makes a little speach (cycles or whatever). More supplementary musicians on stage than band members. I saw Elton John about 18 months ago (I don't really know why) but on stage there was him, a drummer, bass player, another keyboard player and a guitarist. He was joined by a gospel choir for about 4 songs. and that was it.

Liven up the set list for heaven's sake! Talk about working the album. By my calculations they worked Rumours just as much.

If Chris records but doesn't tour they might sell more albums (well 2 more anyway - me and Macfan )) so they'll all benefit financially from that. She wont benefit directly from the tour but she wont get paid for it.

Actually this whole discussion could be academic because she might not fancy even recording again.

Gail

Make that 3 more albums! If Christine sings on it, I'll buy it!

I'd say make that 6 (or whatever), but lately it's the OTHER McVie (the one that made Christine NOT "Perfect" anymore) that has kept my interest in the band, remote as it may be, going.

Damn, John can make an otherwise boring song come to life. I heard "Dreams" on the radio today, and it hit me just how cool John's playing was with the whole "wrap around your dreams and" bass line. That's gold. No other bassist would give you that on instict! I'll quit going to Fleetwood Mac shows when there's not a McVie in it anymore

Since apparently we get to vote on this , I would definitely vote for Chris on the album, with no tour required, but she has to agree to one recorded DVD like they did with The Dance, even if it takes two shows to pull it off. At least we would have a representation of Chris on tour with Fleetwood Mac.

And the show is recorded in London so I get to go.

I think it would only be fair to record it in London. #1, Fleetwood Mac was born there, #2, it would be a great recruitment measure to get Christine on board, #3 Gail gets to go. That would be one majorly hot ticketed show! I think I'd want to fly over to see it! Now all's we need is someone to submit this modest proposal to the band.

In the parallel universe where we are all now apparently living I would expect the show to be by invitation only.

Well, you have spoken with Martin Wyatt. Maybe he'll invite you.
