Default Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Fleetwood Mac?

I didn't know Dale Jr. was such as Stevie/Fleetwood Mac fan!? Well, you can believe it! Today, iTunes updated (because they do each Tuesday), and they had Dale Jr. as their celebrity to put up a playlist for the week. He had a Fleetwood Mac song and a Stevie Nicks song on his playlist. Here is what he had to say about each:

Track #15 "Sara" by Fleetwood Mac "Ah Stevie......when I was six years old, I always told my dad that she was my girlfriend. She had an amazing talent as a singer, but I liked her style most of all. She's very sexy yet kind of a tomboy at the same time."

Track # 21 "Leather and Lace" by Stevie Nicks and Don Henley: "Duets are hit or miss, and this is a real hit. Stevie and Don are a great mix, and they laid down the standard with this track."

HUH??? What is he talking about? Tomboy? That would be one word that I would never use to describe Stevie

I know; I thought that was really a strange choice of words for Stevie too! Sexy--she is, but Tomboy--she isn't!

I don't think that Tomboy would be the exact right word for Stevie. But I have to say she has never been overtly sexual in the way she acts on stage.

She was without doubt extremely beautiful in her youth and still an attractive woman but not obviously sexual.

that's my (female) opinion

I find the way she used to perform far sexier than the overtly sexual way Madonna and Debbie Harry would. There's just more character to Stevie. To have that confidence whilst performing in such a unique way is sexy.

Exclamation Wished I could remember...

where I placed an interview with Lil' E in which he mentioned he has fond memories of the Rumours album being played daily throughout his childhood as his Mother drove him to-and-fro...Jr. said that is the one album that always brings back the good memories of his childhood.

Hopefully Jr. will have a better day tomorrow during the twin 125's at Daytona since his Daytona qualifying this past weekend was gawd-awful (39th).

Maybe he means she likes to play with the boys Or maybe he is saying she is a "wild adventurer" She is one of the few women to get respect as a rocker; maybe that is what he is saying

Yes, playing with the boys would be Stevie! Maybe he meant that she was strong and feminine.
I mean really can you see Stevie climbing trees with the chiffon? It would get stuck on a branch.
Maybe she could kick some balls around with those platforms, however.

Tomboy certainly isn't the right term. (Some people are more articulate than others.) But what I think he meant to say is certainly true --which is that Stevie can "hang with the guys"; she's tough! It's a positive thing.

I wouldn't call Stevie a tomboy but he's got good taste in music.

I might. She (from what I've read/noticed) has a kind of "get along with the boys" quality aside from sexuality. I mean, maybe it's not a real athletic thing, but just the fact that she has gotten along with so many male musicians, and that they respect her, lends that "tomboy" quality to her. Like the tomboy that's hella sexy, but can shoot the **** w/ the boys, and gain their respect musically. She's like the "musician tomboy" version of a tomboy.

That reminds me of an interview with Stevie where she says that she loves to be around men and wants them to respect her musically but that there was no way she was going to carry any equipment.

Go, Stevie! But, like I said, it's not so much an athletic tomboy thing. it's more of a mental tomboy thing. And there is a difference, believe me, i know.
