Default New Lindsey concert DVD

Hey, has anybody heard anything about that Dallas DVD that was possibly going to be released? I sure would like to get ahold of it.

Around when the Rockline interview was done, he said something to the effect of the DVD being in a preview stage. That still could mean more editing or changes. He still has been speaking of a Fall release.

I'll take a Fall release as opposed to no release! He is one not to be rushed! I need to get a real good version of his updated "I'm So Afraid" song. I like it alot, but it still doesn't top the Live in Boston version in my opinion. Gotta have Mick on drums and John on bass!

Default HDNet

Per previous press releases, the concert will first air on HDNet before making its way to DVD. Unfortunately, my cable company (Comcast) doesn't carry HDNet. There is no news on the HDNet web page about a forthcoming LB concert. Hopefully, we won't have to wait as long as the Soundstage performance did to air (I think it was about two years after filming that it was shown on PBS). The airing of the Texas concert will probably coincide with the release of LB's next CD (2008). To be a LB fan, you must learn patience.

The new DVD will probably be ready for release in time for the Christmas holiday buying season. ALWAYS need to have "something new" for Christmas. Otherwise, you should fire your marketing people.

Default PBS Soundstage

Not to be argumentative, but LB's Soundstage (with Special Guest Stevie Nicks) was filmed on September 15, 2003 and released on DVD November 8, 2005. It aired on PBS earlier in the fall of 2005, approximately two full years after it was filmed. While I would like to believe we will see the Texas concert on DVD this year, I am not optimistic. Hopefully, Mark Cuban's management (Cuban, a dot.com billionaire, owns HDNet as well as the Dallas Mavericks NBA basketball team) will pressure LB for an earlier release since they have invested something in the project.

Ill probably end up buying the dang thing with my own cash anyways though.

I really hope it does release ASAP though, I would love to see other live preformances of his with better viewing screens than the ones on youtube!
