Ever listen to Christine's maracas on "Oh Well"? She is absolutely flawless. I tried to do it and it's so hard.

You and I know who the Queen of FM is!

Sara told me they would watch her do that from the front row and she and Mick would work off each other to perfect the rhythm.

Or how about the fifteen maracas she plays in the 1973 Midnight Special Video for "Miles Away"? Look at her shaking those things. She looks like she's going to tip over!

And I think there's a mic in there, as well!

I find it interesting that you point out what he said but statements like...it will make it obvious that she is the weak link in Fleetwood Mac. She will come in and ruin the album. We all know who the Queen of Fleetwood Mac is...seem to be just fine.

I personally believe that they will wait for her...out of total respect for her and out of recognition that this is what Fleetwood Mac has done in relation to her solo career for a few decades now. They may not get along well but I think they pretty much respect each other fully.

Well, as long as they cry silently, it's not a problem. If it's loud, choking audible sobbing, that's another story.

For the record, I don't think calling people fickle fans is a dagger or anything. I do think that calling people here "trifling bitches" as Sorcerer999 did is a problem and no more of that is going to be allowed.

But what I wanted to point out about your quote is the difference between what is said about a member of FM and what is said about other posters. So, what if someone calls Stevie a weak link? That's not being disrespectful to anyone here.

As far as we know, FM is not on this forum. You may get insulted if a member of Fleetwood Mac is criticized, but Fleetwood Mac is not you. The fact that someone attacked a member of Fleetwood Mac is not a reason to insult the person who did. You don't have to show respect for the people in FM. You have to show respect for the people who are posting here.

Now, when you have individual forums, for Stevie, Lindsey or Chris, I try to stop trolling in those forums. I think if you go into an individual band member's forum and intensely badmouth that individual member, you're probably trying to bait his/her fans rather than state an opinion. So, we police that kind of trolling more.

But in the Rumours forum, opinions about different band members are going to clash often. If you don't like having your favorite member trashed, don't come here. Lots of people have stopped coming and that's a great thing. Go to your favorite Facebook page where band members are loved and praised. When you're here, don't think that someone has to be nice to a band member out of respect to you. People should be nice to YOU out of respect to you. That's what required.

Michele

I think they have waited...and waited...and waited...
and now I think they are starting to lose all respect for her. Patience is wearing thin, to snapping point.

^^^ Thank you. (michele) I definitely have my opinions about the band members. But, I try and get along with people I disagree with. Mostly, tongue in cheek.

I find it interesting that our excitement over the 4 piece had the normal Stevie forum members float in here. You usually don't see them often. lol

I wasn't singling out anyone in particular, just pointing out the hypocrisy, double standards and downright disrespect that has gone on both towards band members and forum members. Plus I was also trying to be funny. I guess it didn't come across that way and, as such, I apologize if anyone was offended by it.

I agree. If I keep telling my boss I will get something done without doing it.. I'd get fired. But he'd find a way to get it done.

They are musicians that want to work. I don't see what's wrong with that.

Well, it was kind of funny. Sometimes, it's hard to read tone.

Ain't that the truth I have learned since the Inception of the interwebs sarcasm does not translate at all , people take things the wrong way (personal) all the time so you just laugh it off and move on or you end up banned

If it hurts the album, which it will, because she's not in it with her soul, I would seriously say to her: back off, we are making something beautiful here. Don't come ruin it.
