Big Love, The Ledge and Walk a thin Line are not solowork. And would all be very welcome at a 'Fleetwood Mac-extra concentrated'-show.
I haven't seen Lindsey solo. I know he called Christine and Stevie's solo tour lounge acts. Ditch the backup singers? I doubt it- he was the one who insisted on adding them for the Tango tour, before he backed out.

Come and Not That Funny live were so long, maybe they just felt like 12 minutes. Each. I thought Big Love was all Lindsey, and same thing with the Ledge and Walk a Thin Line- weren't all three songs recorded at Lindsey's home studio? None of the other band members are on those songs.

Lindsey's not into the back up singers. He was all into the guitarists. That's what he wanted for the Tango tour.

Source on him insisting on using Stevie's backup singers? All I've ever heard was that he wanted another guitarist (who, ironically, was going to be Billy Burnette if he had stayed, from what Mick said at the time). As for the lounge act, he walked that back after doing his first solo tour.

Big Love is a full band song, anyone can hear that. The whole band is all over it. Except Stevie who was busy sniffin glue or something.

They were definately on Walk a thin line. To my knowledge, the only Tusksong that is only Lindsey is The Ledge. The rest are all remakes of his homerecordings with the band in the studio. But whatever, they were Fleetwood mac songs. If Lindsey plays big love on his own doesn't make it a solosong.

You talk about 12 minute solo's. That's rediculous. Those songs have substantial vocalsections or other instrumental parts than guitarsolo's. Come and I'm So afraid were together in the set only one FM-tour, in 2003/4. In a two and a half hour plus show, two five minute guitarsolo's. Nothing out of the ordinary rockshow.

Gold Dust Woman lasts equally long, or even longer.

I saw Stevie solo after The Other Side of The Mirror. Do you have ANY idea how long Edge of Seventeen lasted? Including a lengthy guitarsolo? Still, that was the ONLY hightlight during a flat boring lounge act, even supported by a spinecringingly bad loungeset from Richard Marx, of all people. Aweful. What a waste of time and money.

Lindsey wanted the backup singers, but Fleetwood Mac kept them. Nothing wrong with that, no matter whose idea it was.

Again, what's your source on that?

reminds me of a family guy..

Peter: I read it in a book.
Brian: Are you sure you read it in a book? Are you sure it wasn't 'nothing'?
Peter: Oh yeah..

Sourcing isn't hard . . .

Yes, that is what Mick talked about.

Not trying to be difficult, but it's not a full band song if Stevie isn't on it. I don't know if Christine is playing keyboards on it or not. Maybe Mick is playing drums.

Did any of the other band members play on Make Me a Mask?

Lindsey didn't want the back up singers. Christine and Mick talked about what Lindsey envisioned for the Tango tour and it was based on musicians, not additional back up singers.

They did have an additional guitar player as early as the Mirage tour though, right? Thought I read that in an article recently.

Didn't know LB wanted to beef up the band back then like that - singers or Billy Burnette - totally interesting.

Well, "Rumours" tour, but that was Ray Lindsey, whose primary job was Lindsey's guitar tech. He only played on a handful of songs.

I'm pretty sure he was on the Mirage tour.

It was an interview with Mick, and he said adding back up singers was Lindsey's idea, and that they agreed to it. I cannot remember the name of the magazine, but it was right before the tour began. I am 100% certain about this. Mick said the band was willing to do anything to get Lindsey to tour, from adding the back up singers to only being on the road for 2 months. When Lindsey backed out, they increased the tour dates and added the back up singers. Adding a guitarist, they did that on the Mirage tour, so that was nothing new. I don't remember if adding another percussionist was Lindsey's idea or not.

He was. I was saying that Ray playing with the band started on the "Rumours" tour. He did that through the "Shake The Cage" (TITN) tour (at least on GYOW).

However, Ray wasn't a full fixture on stage and only played on a few songs when Lindsey was in the band, not like Neale.
