Default 'Oh Daddy' 1997

I wonder if anyone would be kind enough to post a good version of 'Oh Daddy' from the 1997 tour? It's been an age since I heard this song, and I'd love to hear it again.

Thanks

I believe you're a person of character & perspective -- a real values person. So here's OH DADDY from Irvine Meadows Amp -- the Westwood One radio broadcast.

I've always wondered why she switched out "Over My Head" for "Oh Daddy" during the tour..

Don't get me wrong I love "Oh Daddy", but I was always curious as to why?

I think it was because more people wanted to hear "Oh Daddy." Though "Over My Head" was a radio hit and OD was not, OD, along with "Songbird," has become a signature tune for many of her fans.

Agreed. And Oh Daddy has lovely chords, including that heartbreaking diminished 7th when she sings "Yes, it's got to be me..."

I was crushed when Over My Head left the tour, but am glad we have it on DVD.

Not a fan of Oh Daddy.

"Oh Daddy" was on Rumours, "Over My Head" was not.

The only Rumours tunes NOT done during The Dance tour:

"Never Going Back Again"
"I Don't Want To Know"

I know that's what makes it so wonderful to me. It's simple but amazing all at once! A perfect summer anthem!

As does 98% of all blues tunes...90% of all 50s Rock & Roll tunes...70% of all Rolling Stones tunes...

...shall I go on?

The whole Rock genre is all based on "Three Chord Songs"...if it weren't true, it wouldn't be a "cliche'"

you could, but i do get your point... however, it starts to drive me nuts and even though i may like the tune... i tend to gravitate toward something with more sections or progressions.... never like the rolling stones... except for a few tunes... (i'm more of a jazz lover)

i haven't looked at the score in a long time but how many chords does over my head have vs oh daddy?

i'll have to dig out my storage to find my fm book.....

Actually, "Over My Head" has four chords.

D, G, A, Em

I do love the swelling fade-in keyboard intro... one of the many beautiful effects of the pristine white album....

I simply love the version of Oh Daddy posted. Can anyone share this concert with me or post it...I finally donwloaded the torrent, but I do not know how to work FLAC files. I have been looking for it for ages, I live right by Irvine and would love to have it, each time I see a concert at the Verizon center, I imagine Christine right on that stage call me crazily helpless. THANK YOU, let me know if you guys need any files!
