I will be SHOCKED if an album actually happens. It took forever to do SYW. Even if they are able to persuade Stevie to record, it will not be a big part of the set list. They are going to play old songs and it's fine with me. Their catalogue is deep enough to do old songs in a fresh set list.

I think they all look so wonderful in this interview and I am so jealous of my American Ledgies......who will get to see them first.
I can't wait for the Europe Tour and am saving my pennies NOW

Chris seems happier and more relaxed than she did during The Dance era, which is really great to see.

I must have missed the interview where Stevie admitted she cheated on Lindsey. This is why I take everything she says with a grain of salt. She insisted for years she never cheated on him, (e.g. "I never shacked up with anybody when I was with him!")

Yes, she said he was so possessive of her.. that he tortured her with his jealousy- and that that actually drove her to it!

Really? They're recording at the most expensive studio in the region. The one they basically built to do "Tusk". Do you think they're making Taco Bell ads there?

A Taco Bell ad would be a great way to raise money to make the album. Make a run for the border. Michele

Not one person in the band has definitively said anything about an album. They are recording. Stevie hasn't done anything or committed to anything as far as an album goes. Mick even said "we're not sure" about Stevie. The tour has been announced so clearly it is not contingent on a new album or new songs. I am saying one has little to do with the other.

My guess is that they are in there at Village trying to still convince SN to do it. They are probably getting some of Chris's songs together to show Stevie that this is worth doing and to get on board. We'll see if it happens. This is not a band that records quickly.

Lindsey told USA Today:

"The next album will be a mix of things. We've done some strange things with one of Christine's songs already. It's going to sound like Fleetwood Mac but not overly retro. It's not that we're making any bold effort to sound like somebody else. Some of what we've done in the past has reference points that have come back, and what might have seemed retro is more relevant in today's market."

Christine told Rolling Stone:

"Well, the plan is we’re going to start rehearsing in July and go on the road in September. The tour starts in Chicago and we head west and come back east again, finish at Christmas and pick up end of January and complete America and we can do the world, really. And there’s a studio album somewhere in the mix too. We’re playing around in studios now."

I think it would be swell if a new album came out. It is only a matter of time. From all the speculation, it seems like another Tango In The Night-type of setup. Hopefully it's not, but I guess we'll see. And hey, that would make for an intriguing dynamic to have Christine and Lindsey versus Stevie and Lindsey. I really am looking forward to these "strange things" with one of Christine's tunes. I also think it would be great if they performed "Friend," although I have to wonder if they're going to scrap playing any of their solo songs now that Christine has returned.

That being said, the interview was cute - all those sixty-year-olds and one seventy year old cuddled up. Someone earlier a few pages back said that they hate each other, and I think it's obvious they don't.
