Ken Caillat buys the Record Plant
Per his FB page, Ken has apparently acquired the Record Plant.

I saw his post, but didn't realize that meant that he bought it! Probably not a good business venture in this day and age...

I was thinking same thing, unless there's a niche in there some where.

I’m sure he got for a good price also considering this day and age.......

Point - "I" have a 24 track studio. Not a big deal these days... Who knows, maybe he's going to make it top of the line(again)? That would be cool. Anyone know his net worth? The Googles says anywhere between 1-5 million. I'd imagine dropping a couple mil in this project might be nothing....

Ken did not have a hand in the 1975 album . His royalties from Rumours alone though should be in the 8 figures by now .

New artists don't want old ideas/thought processes in current production. I was shocked when he told me that he he could barely land a project these days(and no, they're set financially, and have a beautiful house way up in the hills). So for Ken having a hit album 45 years ago, it doesn't mean much now(at least to newer current artists).
