Atlantic City and Holmdel in June?

I've been hearing from a couple people I I know out east that these will be announced shortly. Anybody know anything about these shows yet?

Weird that they would already come back east...they just left!! I can see one or two off shows and then having them head right over seas.

Makes perfect sense- based on Stevie's comments on that radio interview in Philly, and considering those markets are fresh plays on this tour.

I wonder where they'd play in AC? wasnt that place they played in 2004 a temporary setup?

They'd play Boardwalk Hall (the arena)- not the Borgata shed. At least, that's what I'd assume. If they played the Borgata, that would show that they had to make $$ concessions to get the gig.

If they're hitting Holmdel & Atlantic City, Hartford and/or Mansfield (Mansfield being the Providence play) are distinct possibilities.

Did you get a date for the show? I would be surprised if it was the same place I saw Stevie at last June 20&21. that venue only held about 5,000? Of course the Eagles played there so I guess it's possible. How have you been btw?

Hey David, I've been good, busi at work and of course taking care of mom. I was surprised I got to go last night! Yes, I did meet the band again! A few great pictures that I will send Pattie and I hope she can post them for me this weekend. I did put up one from last night on my facebook page! No firm date set but it was confirmed they will be at the borgota from 2 sources! LOL!

No, the tix would likely be much higher to compensate. Plus the casinos treat concerts as a "loss leader" so it's not about the venue making a profit from the show, as it is with most concerts. In this setting, it's about getting gamblers to stay at your hotel, spend lots of money in your restaurants and shops, and even more money in your casinos.

And not to put too fine of a point on it, but in a setting like the Borgata it also works better for them to sell 2400 seats (that's the capacity, by the way) for much higher prices, than more tickets at lower prices, because if you want to be really blunt about it, the people who can blow $1000 on a pair of concert tickets are the people they want in their restaurants, shops, and casinos.

It'll be interesting, either way ... hope it turns out!

The rumor I heard last night was June 13th. Source said unsure if it would be the Borgata or the Boardwalk, but leaned toward the Boardwalk due to some sort of scheduling thing going on.

Again, just pure speculation for now, but was some buzz about this at last night's show (which ROCKED, BTW.). I'm still recovering from my massive souvenir purchase, LOL!
