Linda Blair does resemble Stevie but she is a terrible actress. The oscar nomination for The Exorcist should have gone to Mercedes McCambridge who did pazozoo's voice.

Yes! I have always thought that Linda Blair and Stevie resemble each other.

For a modern day cast, I think Cate Blanchette would make a perfect Christine McVie. The guy to play Lindsey is Paul Rudd, the guy from Clueless and other movies I can't think of right now. Stevie is hard though, I can't think of any actress out there that can capture her presence.

Red face

Just thought everybody would like to know that the movie we're all talking about is currently being filmed and is slated to be released for the summer 2004. Peter Jackson is directing with New Line Cinema! This will be his first foray in the Hollywood film making!

Hollywood and New Line Cinema appreciated all of your suggestions though!

These are the actors who have agreed to the scripts.

STEVIE NICKS ~ Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy the Vampire Slayer; there was never any question about her casting. Drew Barrymore has been approached to play Stevie's "stunt double" for some of the live performances and fight scenes. Peter had Sarah Michelle in mind specifically with a few tweeks here and there ~ "It was her destiny", he stated!)

LINDSEY BUCKINGHAM ~ Mathew McConaughey (It had been reported they he lost close to 25 pounds to play the part.)

JOHN MCVIE ~ Skeet Ulrich (A diehard old school Fleetwood Mac fan who already knows how to play bass!)

CHRISTINE MCVIE ~ Camaron Diaz (Currently Camaron wanted to really "perfect" her role - so she asked Christine if she could live with her for two months abroad to learn how to tap into her psychic sensitivities, cook, English dialect, and piano/keyboards. Christine was thrilled.)

MICK FLEETWOOD ~ Originally he wanted to play himself and had auditioned for the part about 9 times over the past 20 years since the project had been on the table. Peter Jackson and the producers finally agreed (with the aid of film clips from the "Running Man") that his part will be portrayed by a computer animated model layered with special effects and voice overs. It had been suggested that the reason for the delay in the films' release was the lack of sophisticated technology to bring Mick's character to film. (It has also been rumored that John Malkovich felt he could not play the part with any justice.)

I suppose Art does imitates life after all!

Life, Love, Magick~

Question Teri and Ryan

Teri Garr would be perfect for Chris role, but she is a bit old right now. Ryan Phillipe could be a good Lindsey, he got a curly hair (though he would turn it dark).

Talking

This is fun! I love these threads!

I can't think of an actress that has the expression and artistry to play Stevie. As far as just looks go, Meg Ryan, Crystal Bernard, Melissa Reeves (Days of Our Lives) or Holly Hunter if she had blonde hair might work. I would really have to think on this one.

Even though his not the sex symbol Lindsay is, I could see Tom Hanks having alot of fun with Lindsay's stage persona.

Cate Blanchett is a good choice for Christine.

Christopher Lloyd (Back To The Future, Taxi) could do a very good Mick. He's the only actor I can think of that does the bug eyed thing well like Mick.

I don't know why I think Alan Rickman should play John. They look nothing alike but I just love that guy! He has a cool accent too!

This is an unlikely group of actors but then FM is an unlikely group of people!
