Memories of Tusk
https://www.facebook.com/usctmb?fref=nf
“At the tour rehearsal at a sound stage in LA. We were seated behind the stage and had just finished warming up, playing a couple of songs when they asked what we wanted them to play for us. We all kinda looked at each other and replied 'Go Your Own Way,' which they played. Just for us. It sounded AWESOME.” “Getting to umpire the softball game they held on campus with their crew after the tour. Wore my 'FM' hat 'til it fell apart.” -Robert Gallegos “Being able to kiss Stevie Nicks during the drum break at halftime.” -Kyle Miyamoto “Playing for the unveiling of the Fleetwood Mac Star on Hollywood Blvd. Just standing inside Fredrick’s of Hollywood with Stevie Nicks! And then marching out of the store onto the boulevard. Very cool memory!” -Betsey Dillon “There's so many memories. At the Fabulous Forum, playing the five dates with them. Being behind the stage and hearing the sold-out crowds yell when the curtains were opened at the beginning of TUSK was fantastic. The catered spread they had for us each night in the parking lot was epic. I've never seen so many cases of Heineken beer in one place!” “Drinking with John McVie at the soundstage session was cool. He had a broken leg and getting up and down from the stage on the breaks was tough. He told us he kicked in a door at a bar in Pasadena when the bartender told him it was closing time. ‘You guys want to come see the new door I had to buy?’ After the session a couple of us met him at the bar for some refreshments.” -Scott Steele “Partying in the Dodger dugout, pitching from the mound, drinking Heineken.” -Gretchen Heffler TUSK 1997 “It was the end of the first day of rehearsals, we were getting info for the next day, and Mick, John, Lindsey were standing there so we started playing the TMB arrangement of ‘Tusk’ for them.” -Analese Alvarez “Getting to hear ‘Go Your Own Way’ while waiting to go on. It was the loudest rock song I'd ever heard live up to that point. Then, during ‘Don't Stop,’ ending up right in front of Courtney Love who was front row center.” -Diana Gonzales Brian "Fight On!" j.
