yeah, they were better than week 1, but still not up to par with the broads. Sanjaya can go, Nick & A.J. too. My faves were Blake, Chris (both of them) Sundance (I was shocked) and the guy who did "Let's Get It On."

Brandon & Phil were OK, but kind of boring.

^Ugh. Sundance makes me gag. He'll make Top 12, unfortunately.

He shouldn't have made it past Hollywood week. He was terrible.

ITA with this evaluation. Even Gina belted....even though there is something I still don't like about her.

i'm not a fan of lesley either but at least she tried and she was a bit different than the rest of the girls.

oh, and i feel like the hayley girl needs a pole to dance on.

still not sure about gina either -- and less than thrilled with pretty much everyones song choices tonight. doesn't someone advise them?? cause i can think of a boatload of songs that would have suited them better.

So I completely agree with Marissa's take on last night. I thought Gina did a good job & was well aware of her limitations - she didn't try to oversing, attempt notes she knows she can't hit. She's going for "rocker chick", so as long as she sticks with that, I think she'll only get better. And Leslie is kind of cool. I wasn't thrilled with the song (esp that horrible attempt at scatting) but she's unique & has a great tone to her voice.

Jordin was good, but better last week. I agreed with Simon about Stephanie - she was good, but sounded exactly like Beyonce. Exactly. Lakisha, Sabrina & Melinda were fantastic, as expected. I love Melinda the most, but she does look like a little troll.

Tiny little frame, big chest, no neck & head-too-big-for-body. She's cute in a way, though, and I like her attitude (or lack of one.)

Antonella, Haley or Alaina need to leave. I fear Antonella may make it another week, since she's been chosen for votefortheworst.com.

I agree. I really want Antonella to leave. She's awful singing and then she kept rolling her eyes last night when Randy told her she sucked. I don't like her.

according to dial idol......antonella and sanjaya are not going home tonight.

Sundance and Sanjaya have the highest votes in the male category, while Melinda, Lakisha, and Antonella have the highest in the female pull.

Let's hope their predictions are wrong.

On the Houston ABC station yesterday evening, they had an interview with Sundance's dad - who was apparently famous for 5 minutes in the '60s (?). His whole family lives just northeast of the city on what the dad kept calling their Ponderosa.

So, the news lady is interviewing him about his one hit song (for which he even dug out his gold record award), and throughout the segment is a small pack of bird dogs following at his heels all over the Ponderosa. The interviewer then asks him about his thoughts on Sundance's dance moves or lack thereof, since "dancing" was a big part of the dad's act.

He says something like, "Sure, I can still do the moves!" He backs up a little to make sure his feet are on camera, and feebly starts part of his old routine. And, you guessed it, he nearly falls flat on his ass from tripping over all the yippy bird dogs milling around his feet.

I've been scouring the ABC site for video - if I find any, I'll post.

It's a website that predicts the "bottom three" based on busy signals. They are usually correct in their predictions. Last year they were spot on with their results.......I don't know how well it works in the semi-finals, but they do a good job with the Top 12.

I do my own predicting that way.

Last night, I voted for Melinda, Leslie, Gina, Lakisha & Sabrina. The only one I couldn't get through for was Lakisha - and it was only 9:45pm.

I got through for every guy I voted for the previous night, at around 10pm.

When it's Top 12, I call once for everyone just to see whose line is still busy. Then I vote for who I like.
